Charcoal-grilled Chicken & Sake "Yamauchi-Nojou" Omiya Station — Restaurant in Saitama

TLDR: I'd much rather go to Torikizoku. I was ready to give a 5-star review, mostly due to the (apparently) friendly service and (generally) good food, when the trouble began. To begin with, the price is high and they wouldn't allow us to order Nomihoudai for one person only, despite the poster at the door literally stating that "Nomihoudai is available for one person or more". Then, we noticed that the "table charge" (that is charged for each person individually and costs the same as a cocktail) was charged, although the menu states it's included in the Nomihoudai. Even with all that, we were having a good time, and even ordered 2 food items per person like they plead the clients, but then we were coerced TWICE (by two different clerks) into ordering another food item, since one of our items was just a little under 330 yen in price. That is despite all the other food items we ordered being way over 330 yen. We never spent so much on izakaya before, and the experience just didn't match the price. I try to be very understanding, as you can tell by my other reviews, but this time I got very disappointed! I wish I had gone to any other...

アブナイ LONG STORY SHORT: Beware of this BIG trouble! They requested us many times to order so much food and spend as much as they wanted. NEVER GONNA COME BACK AGAIN!!! I wanted to have a nice night, but they gave me the worst night ever!!!!!!! They lied to us and made us feel the worst people ever. Hope that no one rely on this as us. NEVER EVER GONNA COME BACK AGAIN. THEY were not understandable and even though we spent a lot they wanted more. We would spend a lot more if they were clear on how everything should be. I feel bad for them... The young boy and the girl clerk were only there following orders, but the other older clerk looked to us as if we were bad people. Please, enjoy your meal at some other place as a 5-star restaurant, cause you are going to have higher quality food and higher service for less. I wish I could go back in time and take back my precious money that I had...

旅行の最後に訪れたこのお店で非常に残念な体験をしました。その日は23時頃に来店し、料理はラストオーダーだからすぐ注文するように言われ、ドリンクのラストオーダーは23時半だからまだ大丈夫だと案内されました。 しかし、実際にはラストオーダー10分前に注文を取りに来ました。時間まだだよなと思いながらも言われるがまま注文をしました。 そして閉店10分前。突然BGMが切られ、お会計をお願いされました。お会計や空いたお皿を下げるのはいいとして、早く帰れと言わんばかりに閉店前にBGMを切るのはいかがなものでしょう。 そして食べている最中にもかかわらず、閉店時間になってもいないのに退店を促されました。 非常に腹立たしく思いました。

最も不快だったのは、営業中に厨房から男性店員が「1時までには帰るぞ！」と、こちらに聞こえるような大きな声で言ったことです。 時間ギリギリにきて迷惑だと思ったのでしょうがそれならば入店を断ってくれたほうがよっぽどよかったです。 せっかくの楽しい旅行の締めくくりに、非常に嫌な思いをしました。 こんなに感じの悪いお店は初めてです！ サービスの対応に...
