It is extremely frustrating to deal with the manager of this restaurant, my family and I (group of 3) dined at this restaurant on the 29th of November, the way orders are made at this restaurant is through a QR code and payment is at the counter. Knowing this I assumed that there is no way my order is wrong, so when the waiter checked out my table and didn't even show me the bill, I just paid using my card.
After payment, the waiter did not provide me a receipt for the meal, only the receipt for the bank statement. When I realized the next day that I was overcharged 1 meal (2050 yen), I returned to the restaurant and checked to see if I can be compensated for the mistake of their waiter. The manager insisted that we produce the meal receipt which the cashier did not give us otherwise he cannot help us.
We talked for about half an hour but the manager insisted that even if I had the bank receipt and digital statement, who can prove that I did not eat the extra meal (they do not have CCTV). This was so irritating that I asked "how can you prove that you served all the meals that we ordered", to which he replied "we don't have to prove it."

Read moreThe reason for my low rating is because they charged us for 4 sets of meals when there were only 3 people. When requested, we provided the credit card transaction bill, which was the only "receipt" we received. However, the supposed manager of the chain claimed that we have no proof that we ordered 3 meals and didn't eat the 4th one, and hence, we need the proper receipt with our orders. But when questioned: "If we didn't receive the receipt, how can we produce it for you?" He said that we have no proof, as such, they could not give us a refund. We argued further and tried to at least see what we paid for, but the conversation just kept going back and forth. Due to the language barrier and peak hour, we did not wish to argue further. What I'm unhappy about is not the extra money they charged us. It is about the lack of accountability and response to this situation. Even when I just wanted to see what I ordered, they just denied it. The items we ordered were right in front of him in his computer, yet he refused to show it to us. The curry is a but more watery and soupy compared to other Japanese curries which are thicker in consistency and less spicy. The restaurant is located on the second floor and can accommodate small to medium parties. The menu is diverse and other than different in toppings, you'll be able to order different soup bases as well as the spice level. I had the hamburg steak in the shrimp soup curry at spice level 5. The soup was just spicy enough and fragrant and paired well with the generous amount of vegetables in the soup. The prices are fair and the staff are really friendly.
