I had a simple breakfast of egg toast and coffee. The coffee was possibly the best I've had in Sapporo, well-balanced and rich (I neglected to ask what the coffee of the day was...this was a dark roast, though). The egg toast was brilliant. More complex in flavor than you might think egg toast could be, and with a surprising peppery finish. This is high-end food at a very affordable price: 650JPY. Service was friendly and the small dining room has a very pleasant atmosphere, with classical music playing at a perfect volume (loud enough to enjoy, but not so loud as to inhibit conversation). Morning. Time for coffee and a light breakfast. Luckily, Bar Bizon is just around the corner. A tiny café — five tables, a few stools at the bar. The owner greets you with a quiet smile and gestures toward an empty seat. You’re still half-asleep, in no rush. Time drifts gently. The air is filled with the scent of fresh coffee. Sumimasen. I just came for coffee ☕️ with the way the world is with instant this and instant that, convenient stores 🏬 and at every corner, my wife and I walked 40 minutes just looking around and stumbled upon this quaint little shop.
