We wanted to love this place. It’s near our home and “eclectic” in a way only Japan can truly do eclectic, but, sadly, Tack fell short.

Our cheeseburgers and avocado burger were fine. The patties were relatively small, even by Japan standards, but the taste was fine - nothing exceptional, but fine, particularly for the cost of the ¥1,000 set (which comes with fries and a drink). We found our onion rings to be mediocre and the Buffalo Chicken Wings sad (not to mention, over-priced).

Our main issues, however, were with the (1) lack of air conditioning or fan inside during the extreme heat of summer, and (2) the thick smell of old cooking oil that was overwhelming. In terms of the latter, as soon as we left and re-entered the real world; able to breath fresh air again, we realized how truly bad the interior smell was.

GREAT FOOD! The avocado burger, awesome, the regular hamburger, great, the egg sandwich, diamond in the rough (really good- way better than we expected). Get an alcoholic drink and a burger…. Get fries for free. Drinks were great too. About 1200¥ per person if you get a cocktail and fries with a burger. Only drawback, burgers are a liiiiiittle small. Totally...

Excellent burgers. The ambiance and the owner are really nice. The music is good and not loud. This small restaurant is one of these many icons of Japan, so genuine and nothing like the posh places.
