Just as a perfect night with my wife here, I couldn’t have asked for a better place to have a special meal with her. She booked it in advance and even though it was quiet, we had a really really nice time.
When you go in, the door is low down, so don’t worry, it is supposed to be like that! It adds to the atmosphere. Inside is very authentic and we sat at the U shaped table in the corner where we could see everything cooked on the charcoal grill. It was brilliant to see you food cooked then brought to you presented really beautifully.
Everything we had tasted wonderful. The otoshi was interesting, baby squid, taco and crab miso tofu. I would have never ordered these, but it was really exciting to try them.
We ordered a few things and had beer, my wife had taco karage, it was really unique, I liked it as something g different to chicken.
The sashimi came out beautifully with some extra clam on the house!! The asparagus was prepared just right, I didn’t leave any for my wife!
I ordered, chicken which came with yuzu kosho! The chicken was really delicious and the kosho had an incredible taste - sour and a bit spicy!
We will definitely go back as there were many other dishes worth trying. I hear they have seasonal dishes, so maybe we will go back...

They don't have an English menu, but their staff speak a bit English and are very kind. Atmosphere is great: you can watch the chef prepare your dish & be amazed by his technics & they use a powerful extractor so that it's not very smoky. Highly recommend to taste and experience an authentic...
Read moreFood was mediocre for the price. Potato tasted stale and precooked, salmon sashimi was ok but not very fresh. Other vegetables were excellent (grilled asparagus, grilled mushrooms). Whole grilled fish was ok but mostly bones. Staff were polite but we didn’t feel welcome as foreigners - which is fine, we’re visitors here. But this soured an already mediocre dining experience. We otherwise very much enjoyed the...
