Uni paradise! Never thought I’d appreciate uni this much until having visited Yoichiya and having the 5 different types of uni. I was skeptical at first, thinking it would be too rich-tasting and cloying, as is the case with uni of inferior quality which was I’ve been tolerating all my life, thinking all uni tasted “off”. Definitely go for the 5 different types as you get to experience the distinctive taste profiles of the various species. 7,000¥ was very reasonable for a meal of this quality! It was fresh and absolutely delicious! We had added on the abalone, which I had expected to be cooked, turned out to be rather hard and difficult to chew. Can skip. Happy to note that they had listened to feedback and provided the option of separating the uni from the rice for better enjoyment! This meal was one of the culinary highlights of our 2-week trip around Hokkaido!

Came with a side soup of soup, with unlimited refills. Rice can also be refilled. The amount was just right, not too much or too heavy. Perfect for being able to move on to more sightseeing in the area.

Im a picky eater so i ordered this salmon and uni (it’s the more expensive uni, the other option is slightly cheaper and its from hokkaido) The salmon was nice! Fresh and decently thick. The uni was sweet, enjoyable. They also had a heap of something that came with it (im guessing tuna but i really dont know) my sister liked it but i dont fancy it much. They had crab soup too. Rice and soup is refillable. Decent meal! Rather pricey but it’s an experience if you ordered the five types of uni to try. Otherwise you could just enjoy this one version. Very decent.
