Soup Curry Garaku — Restaurant in Shimukappu

First time been to Tomamu and I had unpleasant experience with this restaurant. We went in Dec 2023, there was no crew to record basic info of those customers queuing in the cold. I stood there for at least 15 mins and didn't see a single crew out to take our contact details or asked number of customers for the table. Whoever that gave excuse that there were cold just went in and they got the table. It was a chaotic situation and a group of Taiwanese took advantage of the no queue system.

The young crews do not even know how to communicate in basic English even though they work in service industry. I voiced out my dissatisfaction about then letting the Taiwanese jumped queue and they did not understand what I said.

Tried the Hokkaido style soup curry for the first time at Soup Curry Garaku within Hoshino Tomamu and it was delicious! We ordered the chicken, vegetable, and pork belly and all three were great. The chicken was incredibly fresh and tender, while the pork belly had a melt-in-your-mouth softness that was just heavenly.

Since we couldn't get a chance to try it in Sapporo due to the always long queue, we decided to have it here. We visited during an odd hour (around 4pm) and there were quite a few empty tables, which made for a peaceful and enjoyable dining experience.

Family or group with more than 4 people will be seated at different tables. As someone mentioned earlier, there is no flexibility at all. They only have table for two or combine two tables for 4. As a family of 6 people, we are asked to sit at two separate tables even though they are next to each other and can be easily combined to a table for 6 in a min. They could tell us they only allow 4 person per table when we walk in take the number rather than after long wait. This is the least recommended restaurant in the resort and worst service we have...
