This small cafe, although a bit pricey (as is the case for most coffee places in Japan), has a calm and comfortable atmosphere with friendly staff willing to help guide you through recommendations. Even though I ordered in Japanese, they appear to know some English as well, based on my interactions.

I ordered the Cafe Au Lait with the Maple Bacon Banana French Toast separately. The staff automatically adjusted the order to a set that was premade for the menu, meaning that the Cafe Au Lait was added on to the French Toast order as a set, decreasing the price significantly.

This is a great cafe with a wide variety of food and coffee options. It's particularly noteworthy for opening at 8:00 for breakfast, much earlier than many other cafes and restaurants. They also use local ingredients. The owner is very friendly, and the food and drinks are delicious! For breakfast I'd recommend their Power Breakfast set, with hot or iced coffee, a sizeable omlette, sausage, a salad with some avocado and prosciutto, and a few slices of bread. Pros: open early, starts with good coffee beans and ingredients. Cons: Expensive. Espresso is not on the menu even though they have a good espresso machine. Once we were able to order espresso from the staff in the kitchen, the drink that arrived was cold, thin, totally without any crema, did not resemble espresso.
