very disappointed with this hotel, we booked through booking.com and some are listed as a non smoking room, and we paid for non smoking room. IT IS NOT TRUE. the whole hotel is like a free smoking area, said the staff. so all the room is very smelly with smoke. it’s not that kind of faint, come and go smoke scent but very strong and heavy smokes like you’re in a dingy bar or some sort where there’s so many active smokers present.
we have kids with us and the staff can not help at all saying ALL THE ROOMS are for smoking. We already paid for two nights here and most of the hotels nearby already fully booked due to the conference and we are stuck with a hotel like this. please be honest, and just listed everything as a SMOKING ROOM. or fix the ventilation or do a better division among the smoking and nonsmoking room.
update: after talking to several staff where some says there are non smoking room and some say all of the rooms are smoking, we are still stuck with a “non smoking” room that smells like smoke soooo bad, like the stench have been absorbed fully to all the furniture and air here that we could not believe it was a non smoking room, at all.
the lift also filled with smoke scents.
but on the second night we prayed for miracle to happen and when we entered our room there’s no smoking scent whatsoever, it was a miracle. Thank you God in Jesus Christ.
still, we wont stay in ANY smile hotel anymore, reading on the reviews on their other branch also the same ☹️ non smoking room smells so bad like...
Read moreWe stayed in the hotel for three nights. We had two economy rooms with a twin bed and a double bed. Compared to other Japanese hotels and Japanese size rooms we stayed (like Toyoko Inns or Daiwa Roynets) these were even smaller. But overall it was a very cost effective stay. ||The rooms were also not that new and looked quite used in some areas and one room smelled (and looked) a bit like a previous smoking room.||The staff was very friendly. ||The breakfast was included, simple but actually quite good (Japanese and Continental style) ||The Hotel is located close to a shopping area (5 min walk) with plenty of restaurants. Also it was a good starting point to go the Miho no Matsubara area to see Mount Fuji (20min drive) ||We were traveling by car and they have parking spaces in front of the hotel. Please make sure you ask for a reservation before you come to get a space (we ask a few days before and it was no issue to get a confirmation...
Read moreA standard business hotel, but the rooms and building are well taken care of. There are extra amenities on the ground floor next to the front desk like robes, toothbrushes, combs, body sponges, and q-tips. There is also a microwave near the front.
Breakfast is available in the morning and there is a large dining area.
Laundry is available on the 4th and 8th floor along with ice machines.
Central heating/cooling for the whole building so when it is summertime, you can only turn on or off A/C, there is not heating option (not like you want to anyways).
Room is equipped with a mini fridge and TV along with bedside controls for the lights.
Great service and a good location that's about 8 minutes away from JR Shizuoka Station. I could also see Mt. Fuji from my room, albeit a...
