Mug's Cafe — Restaurant in Takamatsu

Burger shop with a cafe/diner vibe. Wonderful friendly owner with a cute dog. Probably the best burger in Takamatsu.

Ordered the double cheeseburger combo and a smoothie. Burger has an absolutely perfect bun, it's really a work of art, that's substantial enough to protect from burger juices. Great toppings with the correct amount of cheese, nice juiciness, but I feel like the patty is holding it back from being a truly great burger (pork and beef?). Solid smoothie, and I always appreciate when the distinction between smoothies and milkshakes is made.

Owner was kind enough to make us an espresso after our meal. Was a surprising treat that capped off the experience. I really need to mention again just how great the owner and cook are, they really made us feel comfortable and clearly take pride...

Burgers are put together real well. No trouble to eat them at all. And what a treat it is to delve into anything masterfully prepared at this prime store.
