Update: Came in again and this time omg The vibe these employees give off is not pleasant!!!

So I ordered the Chicken Rice special that clearly states it has “sautéed Veggies” and the girl working was very sweet and responsive. I expressed it needs to have Veggies and a good amount of chicken and rice and she said yes it does.

However, when the order came out it was a pre-made dish that was heated up (which is fine) but it had NO vegetables (plural).

The line cook lightly defensively said it has onions and I said that’s not gonna work. So he offers a Caesar Salad to make up for it - what does he bring?

Some scattered pieces of lettuce with “Cilantro” like I’m an idiot and don’t see what he’s doing filling the plate.

He didn’t even put caesar dressing on it (this guy omg ) so I had to ask and he gave me attitude making me feel like he’s doing me a favor.

If you have too much time in Japan and don’t know what to do with it - by all means, come here and waste 50 minutes waiting for a coffee. We only had a couple of hours left in Takayama and thanks to the ladies in this cafe had even less time. They forgot our two coffees and a smoothie but even after we reminded them they still served the exact same drinks we ordered to people who came after us. Not to mention that the price for these + 1 veggie panini was half of what we paid for a gourmet dinner with drinks in a lovely restaurant in Takayma. After waiting for 50 minutes, we had to get our drinks as takeout and carry the cups around for ages as there are no public trash cans. Total disappointment! There are much nicer breakfast...

Didn’t get a chance to try the food because service was really bad. Was waiting at the ordering counter, staff chose to serve another customer from the back door (hotel?) whom came in after me. They didn’t acknowledge/nor made eye contact for close to 15 minutes despite me standing at the ordering counter, they went ahead and started preparing the other order instead of taking my order and preparing in batch. Even the barista who was standing less than 1 metre from me. There were only additionally 2 tables, and the other one is already served/having their meal. So not sure...
