Today we just wanted to have sushi for dinner and found the sushi restaurant in takayama in google map. We didn’t realise that we used to come here in May last year with my family until we walked into the store. It was because last year we had been here in night time I guess and today we went there around 5.30 pm. We still really enjoyed the sushi here, it was good and worth it to come and have dinner. Before we left, my husband told one of the staff that we used to come here last year and she told to the chefs in Japanese about us inside the kitchen. After that she followed us outside the road and gave us a cloth bag for thank you to us. At first we thought we forgot something there. They were really amazing and kind people for what they interacted to their customers. Highly recommend you to come...

Went solo with no reservation on a Tuesday at 6:30pm and got a seat immediately. Although they don’t speak much English, they were welcoming and friendly and it was easy to order off their menu and they took credit card. I had a light a la carte dinner: two pieces tuna nigiri, two pieces uni roll, two pieces salmon roe roll and one miso soup. Each bite exquisite. Cute, little authentic feeling place. Would definitely return for more. Three lively Japanese diners next to me who had reserved seats added to...

This is one of the loveliest sushi restaurants I have visited in Japan. Not only is the sushi some of the best I’ve tried (especially the salmon), but the staff were so kind and welcoming! I came to this shop twice while I was in Takayama, and on my second visit they gave me a gift. I appreciated talking to the staff so much, they are very good people. And the sushi is the best. Do not miss this restaurant when you are in Takayama. I will definitely come back next time I visit Takayama.
