Having breakfast at Riri was by far our highlight of visiting Takayama! The place is small and cosy and the owners, an elderly couple, made us feel so very welcome. They made us a delicious breakfast consisting of miso soup, pancakes and a ham, veggie and egg sandwich. Halfway through our breakfast they also came with a surprise gift: Japanese green tea with a tiny bowl of little fruit pieces 💜 everything was home made and soooo delicious! After leaving the parking lot next to the place, we were surprised to see that they came outside standing in the rain to wave us goodbye and to make sure we were driving in the right direction tot Kanazawa. How sweet!! Thank you so much! We will tell all our friends visiting Japan to come to your place.

高山駅附近的早午餐咖啡小館， 由爺爺奶奶二夫妻共同在經營。 主要由奶奶製作餐點， 爺爺輔助並招呼客人～ 早上六點半營業客人就絡繹不絕！ 除了特別菜單名古屋市早餐， 還有三明治和鬆餅可以選擇～ 特別菜單包含一杯咖啡或自選飲料， 再附上土司、水煮蛋、小水果， 這樣一套500円， 咖啡由奶奶手煮香醇好喝， 土司烤的微酥鬆軟有嚼勁。 享用完早餐後， 在中橋、老街、陣屋、國分寺走走看看， 中午時分又不自覺回到這裡， 享用午間套餐， 鐵板義大利麵、陶鍋味噌烏龍， 口味都非常好吃，價格也非常便宜。 謝謝爺爺奶奶的用心， 也很熱情的招呼及介紹高山的景點！ 經過同意我們拍攝了店內以及一起合影， 非常推薦有來高山一定要來這家店坐坐。

We visited in May, so I apologize for the very delayed review.

This cafe was wonderful! The food was delicious and the owners were so friendly and made us feel welcome. I got the French toast, and it was very tasty. We all got iced coffee that came with a simple syrup, also very delicious.

We loved the atmosphere. The room had several interesting vintage appliances, like a vintage phone contraption, and a vintage yakult refrigerator. The people working (owners?) were excited when we asked about them, and let us take photos when we asked.

They also shared some photos and postcards they've received from guests, and they were very fun to...
