HORRENDOUS RESTAURANT with THE MOST TERRIBLE SERVICE I'VE EVER RECEIVED IN MY LIFE. First of all, the restaurant had very arrogant and haughty service but I tried to ignore that because this place had good reviews so I thought it was my misunderstanding. However this place became a nightmare when I forgot my scarf at the restaurant after I left. The restaurant told me they would keep it on hold via phone call so I went to pick it up a few weeks later. They told me they threw it away because I was too late to pick it up without my permission. I requested them to pay back since by law, anything forgotten in the restaurant is under the restaurant owner's responsibility. Then the restaurant owner contacted me back that they "found" my scarf (which magically appeared all of a sudden) and submitted to the local police station's lost and found. But the owner didn't give me the registration number at the police station so I didnt get back my scarf at the end. What was most disgusting about this restaurant is that the owner followed up with a very disturbing email calling me a claimer and scam and it's not the restaurant's responsibility keeping the customer's belongings and they were doing me a favor and that I should've been grateful for it. I cannot believe how arrogant an owner can become when their restaurant becomes super famous and popular (the food isn't worth the price btw). This restaurant clearly is a fraud and a thief. Would you still have disposed my belonging if it was a wallet? Have more common...
Read moreNeither French nor Italian. Their signature dish Bouillabaisse was absolutely horrible, couldn’t taste the umami of seafood but only bitterness. On top of that there is extra 1,300 yen charge for the risotto per person and they don’t let you know. The chef should go to south France to learn the dish if he want to serve a descent Bouillabaisse.
There is also minimum one drink rule, if you don’t order the drink in the beginning the waiter will annoy you for several times.
Overall overpriced, below...
Read moreAta is a genuinely lovely restaurant with impeccable service, but unfortunately not one dish provided any kind of wow factor. Based on the reviews across Tabelog, Google, and The Japan Times, I was expecting some outstanding dishes and an overall excellent meal, but for example while the St. Jacques pie and cassoulet were pleasant, and authentically rendered, it's hard for me to describe any dish as anything better than "nice". It's a pity that my expectations on this occasion...
