Detailed review: On the surface his is a spacious restaurant with good seats, screens playing kpop and good lighting setting the scene for a decent place however as the previous reviews and ratings would reveal, it’s just not worth going to.
The biggest red flag to me should have been the lack of a line to get in 😂. We were tired and rushed as our initial choice was a bust so we settled for ChiMcKing.
For Japan you’d think the server was dead on the inside, she showed no interest in talking, seating us or coming with any haste when order bell was called.
We were BOTH forced order drinks with our meals. Which after 3 trips to Japan, and Korean this was a new experience for me. 🤷
As others had said the food was slow, especially given there was no one waiting. Our pancakes were overcooked and burnt. But surprisingly the fried chicken was not bad, just very poor choice cuts of meats.
To top off a fun experience we were hit with a charge for appetisers (per person) - which was a tiny bowl of radish and some small salad. Not even any kimchi…
So yeah I don’t recommend coming here! The strip has stacks more places to visit, follow the locals and keep...
Read moreJust want to say that we love this place!! Been a customer for well over 4 years! We keep coming back for their Spicy chicken and Soy Chicken!
Some areas for consideration:
Sometimes food is not consistent. Most days it is fantastic, sometimes (maybe when the chef is off) it's been pretty bad. Soy Chicken not enough sauce/ came out a little cold, another time we were served rice that looked old and was dry....couldn't eat it.
Same with Staff, for the most part the staff are friendly and professional, we have had a few occasions where certain individual staff have been a little rude (mainly male staff) but i think they are no longer here!
I think a little more options on the menu would be good. More appetizers/ hors d'oeuvres or entree options would be nice.
But other than that, there is a reason why we keep coming back! And why we give 4...
Read moreDO NOT GO, there's better restaurant next door. Food tastes bad as there were very little sauce on the fried chicken so it tastes bland, and the cheese teokbokki tastes like instant teokbokki that is plasticky and cheese tastes weird. No gloves or apron provided unlike the korean restaurants i've been to in other countries. Service staff has a "couldn't be bothered" attitude and did not inform us there is a charge for the appetizers that they brought over--Salad and a small side dish, they only mentioned the seating time is limited to 2 hours. Ambience in restaurant is ok but the music is a little too loud for us to chit chat. Also be prepared to pay a 10% service charge for their bad...
