Chicken was tasty, interior was pretty nice... and that's about it. I'd say just come for the chicken, but even then you'd probably be able to find a better place for your money.
Issues with food: One of the seaweed banchan dishes was obviously already spoiled. Had to send it back. Kimchi chijimi came out cold. Japchae noodles were stuck together and overcooked. Taste was fine, but felt like it came from a batch that had been sitting there for too long, causing the noodles to 'stretch'.
Issues with service: Waiter brought paper aprons, dropped them on the floor in front of us, scooped them up again and handed them to us - no apologies or offers to replace them. No water, whatsoever. We ordered samgyeopsal, the waiter cooked it for us, and right as they finished, another waiter came around trying to kick us off our table. It had been close to our 2hr mark at 9pm, but there were at least 6-7 other tables of our size open. Phone line just doesn't connect. My friend tried ringing at different times to confirm something in advance, but it just didn't even ring.

Read moreReally enjoyable lunch with all-you-can drink option. We had the 1+1 Lunch course, with Cheese Takkarubi as the main, and we chose Kimchi Jijimi and Stone Pot Bibimbap as our sides. The portions are absolutely huge, our meal for two could have easily fed 3.5/4 people - the sides were far bigger than expected (enough for a meal by themselves if you are not a big eater), and the main was far more than we could finish (and we have very healthy appetites). Service was fine, the restaurant is very clean and spacious with a nice decor and atmosphere. Recommend making a reservation as even on a very rainy weekday it was getting busy as soon...
Read moreWonderful location in Shinjuku Okubo area for lunch or dinner. English menus available with plenty of Korean options. We chose the set meal for two which included Wagyu beef and Korean beef skirt steak. Each person chooses a side with more than a dozen options. Then they bring multiple dishes of lettuce, sides and pickled vegetables for the beef. The beef is cooked for you at the table. We chose the Korean kimchi pancake and the bibimbap in the clay hot pot. Excellent! Many Asian customers had varied dishes and all looked fantastic. I wouldn’t hesitate to return here for another meal!...
