Bun cha - I must say this was on point and the sauce was close to being authentic compare to the ones in Hanoi. The servings was big also so you can share this one between 2 people.
Pho - looks good, but that can be deceiving as it’s very bland catered to the Japanese taste. The rice noodles were on point though and not the tapioca rice noodle bs. Also good meat quantity. The condiments were lacking on this one. I wish they had proper sriracha sauce but that’s wishful thinking here.
Bun No Hue - once again, very bland but packed with meat and they have the correct noodles. If they had chili sauce and fish sauce on the side then this would be smackin.
Coconut ice cream - bomb af! Get it, you must! 😉
Service - server seemed unhappy with her job but who knows what she was going through that time.
4 stars because it’s rare to have decent Vietnamese restaurant in japan and I wish there was more so I would love to keep...
Read moreWe've only tried Bún Bo Hue because we were craving it. I was a bit disappointed you have to order herbs separately. There were a tiny amount of cilantro and green onion, but it's not a viet dish without ample of herbs. There were no huyet (blood cake) either. I don't know if it's a food regulation thing in Vietnam but that's unfortunate. We got beef balls instead which typically isn't served with bun bo hue. Objectively speaking, it's decent. It's not as bad as some reviewers made it out to be. I've had a lot worse in Vietnam and SoCal (US), but it's not like amazingly delicious bun bo hue either. The broth is indeed a bit lacklusking (probably need a lot more lemongrass at least), but it's overall decent if you are...
Read moreFood tastes near authentic enough, not super fresh ingredients though but they definitely tried!! Most customers are Vietnamese so that’s a telltale sign of its originality.
I have tried lots of dishes in different occasions here and overall they’re pretty consistent, kudos for that. Just a complaint of not enough side veggie on dishes like bún đậu and other ones.
Waitress really knows what she’s doing and she takes orders without taking notes and she remembers all the tables, what a pro!
A taste of home and for all of you non-Vietnamese, a whiff...
