This was a very satisfying biriyani! I don’t often go to Kanamecho, but I was happy to find this place today. I saw the sign for biriyani and had to try it. The plate of chicken biriyani arrived looking better than the picture! The serving size was large and came with raita (yogurt and vegetable side dish), a small salad, and a drink. This was an outstanding value at only ¥1000! The biryani was much more authentic than the “curry fried rice” version you get at most curry shops. I like that too, but it’s a very different dish. There were whole cardamon pods, black peppercorns, cashews, etc. and it was slow-cooked inside a pot I think. It would have been nice to have an egg in it and I think I will order the karakuchi (hot) next time instead of the chuukara (medium), but I will definitely...

Writing this almost a year later. The food here was very good! The butter chicken was excellent. Not super spicy like I had anticipated, but still savory. The honey naan is AMAZING.
