錦華楼 — Restaurant in Tokyo

I used to come here every single week when I lived closeby, and got to know the owners very well. My favorite is the shrimp mayo and shrimp fried rice which is honestly the best in Tokyo and even better than some of the places I've had in Taiwan (where I'm from). I can confidently say the authenticity of their flavors is 100%, unlike most chinese food in Japan being heavily adapted to Japanese flavors. After moving away i barely got to eat from this place again, and a friend of mine went to bring back takeout for me today. Didn't have lunch, so we ordered quite a number of dishes. The spring onion pancakes were crispy and flavourful. Two time stirred fried pork was a bit too saucey hence a little salty, sort of a peking take on the dish but was okay. Seared dumplings were good, and the barbecued chicken mid-wings were nice and had a kick to it. Lastly, the sichuan pepper chicken was a bit oily, maybe because it was coated with batter...

The food was delicious, Service was very good. The lady in the restaurant are very friendly. I hope next time when I come to Japan, the restaurant are still open. I will never forget this...
