Bad hygiene bad service. To me, it does not even deserve a star. I’d never thought of a hotel in Japan would be that bad.
Dusty room, dusty carpet, dusty air-con! After first night stay, I requested the Mandarin spoken front desk staff to clean the air-con, carpet and floor. Well, they did clean the air-con, but left the floor & carpet untouched. Even worst, the room became more dusty before they clean the air-con! They didn’t even bother to clean the place afterwards😔
The second day I told that staff the floor is still dirty, she said they had spent 2 hours to clean the air-con and they had done they very best already, nothing more they could do, in quite a strong attitude.
But, isn’t it a basic thing to clean the room before your guests check in? Now I know that it’s just my own fantasy…
Please also beware there is no coin laundry in the hotel and near it. Beware to bring enough clean clothing if you luckily booked this hotel.
No view at all - we were arranged on 9/F out of the highest 11/F, when we open our window, it’s a wall of the next building.
7-8 mins walk from Ueno JR station, actually quite a distance after a long day outside.
We are paying double price in the cherry blossoms season to this hotel, not a dime less.
The cherry blossom season brought us memory, without the experience with this hotel, i m sure that the memory would be more colourful. And I felt relieved when we finally could leave this hotel on...
Read moreI am totally disappointed with this room. Despite the fact that the hotel is quite convenient, the experience is totally unacceptable. First of all, the room is way smaller than it is meant to be.... It is stated the room is 20m^2 but in reality the room is just so packed that it seems to be as small as a 10m^2 room that I stayed in elsewhere. Also, the room is not clean at all and quite dusty, not to mention the room is always dark and tiny window that faces another building is not at all helping..... I'm not expecting this in a hotel in Japan to be honest... I have reserved 5 nights with this hotel. I did not feel comfortable since the first night and so I requested for a free cancellation for the last two nights, which I was a few hours past the free cancellation. Even with the kind help from Trip.com, the hotel refused to refund so I have eventually stayed 4 nights with them, and for the last night I decided to stay elsewhere. I hope the hotel can take my advice to improve its service, meanwhile I hope travellers who consider this hotel would need to make sure you're not expecting anything comfy and clean during your stay. Not for business travelers either - no desk and sufficient light...
Read more2.5/5 hotelThe hotel is located at a place a bit farther away from the train station than my expectation. Some rooms are cleaner while some are dusty. They are also smaller than expected.I appreciate that most of the receptionist (younger ones) are very nice and professional, They can speak english and even fluent chinese. However one of the receptionist (who is an old man) is not professional. He did not treat us in a friendly way and could not speak English. I found out there is translation machine in the reception for him to use, however he had no intention to use that to communicate with us.He just kept on speak in japanese and said NO to our request. For the baggage storage, I checked out on Friday and will check in again on Saturday. It is said that luggage storage service is provided on the check in and check out date. However, the old man said "NO' when we want to keep our luggage on Friday until Saturday. I am not sure whether it is the policy of the hotel or just because of the old man. This had cost me extra 6000 yen to store my luggage in...
