202 Curry Dou — Restaurant in Tokyo

I wanted to visit this place because their seasonal menu features pistachio cheesecake and pistachio pudding. I arrived on Sunday around 1 p.m. and found a huge line. Fortunately, they use an electronic queue system, so you don’t have to wait in front of the café. You can explore the area and return when they notify you via LINE or email. However, the wait time from getting my ticket to being seated was over two hours.

Imagine my disappointment when both desserts I tried lacked any noticeable pistachio flavor. While they were fine overall, there was zero pistachio taste in either the cheesecake or the pudding. It simply wasn’t worth the wait or the money.

The ambiance was okay, but nothing special. Some staff members were smiling and friendly, while others were not.

タンドリーチキンと焦がしキャベツチーズカリー 納豆をトッピングし辛さ最大でオーダー。こかまろココナッツスープの粘度はなかなか高め。30辛にした影響でしょうか。オーダー時、お店の女の子が『さ、サ、30辛ですか！？』と、マンガみたいなリアクションw バーナーを使って焼いた焦がしキャベツは甘味増し増し。タンドリーチキンはしっかり漬け込まれて味が染みた本格派。辛さが全てを支配しているにも関わらず、火の通し方や基本の調理が絶妙で、具材一つ一つがとても美味しい。タンドール窯があるのかは不明ですが、このタンドリーチキンは抜群の味。スープのココナッツとタンドリーチキンの相性も良い。脳が溶けるような辛さでも美味しい。

骨付きチキンと7種の野菜カリー お連れ様がオーダー。パリパリの骨付きチキンの他、レンコン、カボチャ、人参、ピーマン、ブロッコリー、ジャガイモと具沢山。スープは濃厚トマトスープ、辛さは6辛。焦がしチーズをトッピング、トマトのフルーティーな酸味と玉葱の深い甘味によって、他の野菜の甘味がぐっと引き立ってます。クミンやシナモンなど独自に調合した複雑なスパイス感が加わり、隠し味のマンゴーチャツネが円やかさを演出。旨味とコクが凝縮された美味しさ。チキンは香ばしくてパリッとした歯応え。お肉はほろほろの柔らかさで、かなり手の込んだ逸品。大きめ野菜は絶妙な火加減で調理され、フレッシュ感が損なわれていません。調理技術の高さがわかる一皿。

ピスタチオプリン ピスタチオを使ったスイーツは色々ありますが、プリンはかなり珍しいのでは。厳選されたイタリア産豆ピスタチオを惜しげもなく使った、非常に濃厚な味わいで口当たり滑らかなプリン。ベリーの酸味がアクセントになり、あっという間に食べられてしまう。プリン好き必食です。

We stayed at an Airbnb nearby and walked in at 10:30 am on a weekday, we were lucky to get seats because it quickly filled up with a line outside due to its popularity! The curry was fantastic, you can choose spiciness from 0-30, and I picked 5 with a tomato based soup. The vegetables were cooked just right, not mushy at all, and the chopped nuts gave a pleasant flavor as well.
