Smelled really bad in there like pee and poop, cats also didn't have a proper place to get away/rest from customers. The cats looked very tired probably due to too much forced human interaction. Cats also got too much catnip as you're supposed to give catnip once PER MONTH in order for a healthy cat, probably due to them being tired and not really interacting, ALL the costumers got handed catnip which is way too much catnip all together for the cats there. The cats here are obviously well-loved and appear to be well-cared for. They all had names that the staff know off by heart and a notice board has lots of information about each "star"! The staff were friendly and professional, patiently explaining the rules of the cafe in Japanese. They charge by 15 minute, 30 minute and 1 hour intervals. 1 hour cost 1,000 yen, but this included your choice of drink (from a quite extensive menu), and the coffee was large and tasted good! Cats seemed relaxed and well cared for by the staff. There are other cat cafes in tokyo that seem to treat the cats as props or toys rather than living things, but this is not the case here. Lots of the cats are rescued and the manager knows them well, suggesting toys, what types of pets certain cats like which was great. Drinks were lovely too and there's a little shop in there.
