Abreuvoir — Restaurant in Tokyo

Abreuvoir is the main Faculty House of the University of Tokyo and has a medium sized restaurant within. The decor is fresh and ethnic and it's nestled in the Yayoi Campus of the university (check out the Hachiko statue with Ueno-sensei on your left as you walk through the main campus gate, much better than the tourist trap version in Shibuya!). The food is wide ranging, from sashimi to tempura and curry, most of which come in a lunch set format (I believe the menu changes in the evenings). It's all very fresh and of good quality, with no frills to it. And the prices are very reasonable for what you get, with most sets just under ¥1000. 根津神社の参拝帰りに「近所でオーガニック系のランチ」をスマホ検索して見つけた店だが、食事の内容は「え？どこがオーガニック？？」というもので、期待外れ。 「東大の学食」ならコスパ良いのでは、と期待していたが、再訪は無いと思う。

肉アレルギーの私が注文できるメニューは「牡蠣フライ定食」（税込み980円）だけで、かなりザンネン・・・。 過去のクチコミを読むと、昔は玄米や雑穀米が選べたようだが、私が注文したときは白米の一択だったらしい（どこにも記載が見当たらず、店員に確認もされなかった）。 提供されたお茶は、冷たくて茶色、ほのかに香ばしいかおりがしたが何茶なのか不明。

雨天の影響もあるかと思うが、店内は12時になっても空いていたので、ある意味貴重な店かもしれない。

ちなみに、Googleマップで案内される道順は遠回りだが、地図を見て（ここから入れそう）と思う近道を行ったら、施錠された裏門があり、ドアフォンを鳴らせ...
