If you love seafood, stop reading here and book a reservation now! Absolutely amazing 1 star Michelin restaurant tucked away in one of Tokyo's suburbs. I was utterly blown away by how delicious and unique each dish was.
The restaurant specializes in French style seafood dishes. Each dish was not only beautifully plated, but also brought about a new way to enjoy a dish. Our favorite dish for the night was a scampi dish with a creamy caprese sauce. This was probably the best shrimp I've had in my life and I loved how turned caprese, which is normally a standalone dish, into the sauce for the shrimp.
For lunch and dinner, there's only a fixed course option - with dinner currently costing 9,800 yen pre-tax and service charge. In my opinion, our meal was absolutely worth the cost. The course is also convenient since the chef's know exactly what they're doing. If there's something you're allergic to or just don't like, let them know and they'll also be sure to accommodate you.
I'd also recommend one of the drink pairings. We split the 5 glass pairing between two of us and they ended up giving us 8 different drinks since some dishes had multiple drink pairings. The restaurant is also fairly small so would recommend making a reservation ahead of time. As expected of a Michelin star restaurant, the service was amazing and they're definitely accommodating of foreigners with waiters and waitresses who...
Read moreAtmosphere and interior was perfect. I can imagine thay im in abyss. But that’s all. Only few dishes was not bad. Almost dishes taste horrible. Wine pairing was really bad. Wines basically are sucks and not well go together with dishes. French restaurant without french wine pairing OMG. Amuse-bouche was really hard to bite.(my grandma could be broken her teeth , if she bite it.) Ingredients were so boring. No special material or dishese! What happend to this restaurant? And service was really dreadful. They didnt clean up table during service. They bring wine lately during course. And they didnt noticed that my fork was not my on table. They didnt explain their dishes. They just said that ‘flat head fishes japanese mushrooms and blah blah sauce, enjoy!’ All same explain and too simple comment. How can be michelin? It cannot be. Do not come to...
Read moreA really unique french/innovative restaurant focusing on seafood. Even in Tokyo, one of the most severe battlegrounds fir fancy restaurants, seafood focused french style restart is not so common and is rarely seen. 3min from Daikanyama, 10mIn from Ebisu station on foot. Every single ingredient is really high quality and appropriately processed, one is freshly cut/served, other is slightly aged, and so on. Wine pairing (including sme Japanese ones this time) is intriguing, too. Dishes? Could have found something consistent during their course, but would lIke to see where they are going...
