Nice coffee, good selection and amazing atmosphere, just a shame about the service. The staff here are welcoming and kind, however my husband and I have had two bad experiences now which has put us off returning, despite this being one of our closest nice coffee shops.

The first experience happened about a month and a half ago. We arrived at the cafe, both ordered drinks. I had to finish mine quickly, leaving about 20minutes later as I had to get to work. My husband was working there for another 10minutes or so before he went up to order another drink. They served him, he paid for his second drink, then they gave him it in a takeout cup. He told them he had a seat and they explained that he was only allowed one drink as if he ordered a second he may be in the cafe longer than an hour and that was their limit on how long he could stay. My husband was upset of course, he only ordered another drink thinking he was staying.

Then today we go back together, thinking we'll try again. We buy some of their coffee as a Christmas gift to our friend and then decided we'd get a large coffee to split before heading home. Again, nobody told us this was a problem. They took our money and we went and sat down. Then they gave us the coffee in a take out cup. We said we were staying and they explained we couldn't stay because we didn't order two drinks. We would have ordered a second coffee, however it was late afternoon and the first coffee we ordered in a large size because we thought we were sharing. Had we been told when paying that we couldn't sit in without ordering two drinks, we would have ordered two regulars. Instead, we paid for a large drink and were kicked out to drink this coffee we now really didn't want because of the bad experience. Truly awful customer service.

I want to be clear that I don't think these rules are rediculous. Although both times we were there the cafe wasn't busy (under half full) I understand they don't have the largest space so these rules are possibly to give most people opportunity to try their products. However, I feel that these rules need to either be written somewhere, or the staff should have asked us if we were sitting in or wanting to take away before taking our money. Both times we've already paid and then we're just presented with a takeout drink we didn't want and then have been told we cannot stay and must leave. It has felt really bad as a customer. To have this happen twice for two totally different reasons feels awful. What a shame because this was supposed to be a nice Christmas treat and now it's put a dampened mood on our...

My favorite here is the iced café latte, it actually reminds me of the coffee I used to have back in Australia! They also offer a great variety of coffee beans to choose from, and the selection changes every day. I usually order in Japanese, but it’s great that they also have English-speaking staff! As a student at the nearby university, this coffee shop has really saved me from burning out doing my research. Highly...

The coffee continues to be tasty, but the number of desserts available is greatly reduced from the days I lived in Tokyo a few years ago. There was never any ambiance to speak of because the seating area is literally 4 stools and a storage room in the back of the store. However, the good combination of coffee and dessert kept me coming back. Now with much simpler dessert options, it is no longer...

Delicious coffee!! A small cafe that I wouldn't have noticed if not because of google maps cafe search and being in the area coincidentally. They roast their own beans and have seasonal blends. There are also testers near the counter so you can try several types before making your pick. We tried their oat latte (ice) and honey latte (hot), both were *chef kiss* Would definitely come back again when in the area.

It is located near Hongō sanchome Station and Tokyo University. I had a large latter (choice between single origin or house blend coffee). The atmosphere was OK but seems like the type of people visiting there are kind of old-school who want to enjoy silence. As soon as we started to have a conversation with friends, staff reminded us to lower our voice. I think I will go to another café next time.
