The University Museum, The University of Tokyo — Attraction in Tokyo

This is an excellent free museum for anyone interested in seeing high quality exhibits especially of natural history. There was also a special exhibition on Bunzo Hayata, a Japanese botanist noted for his taxonomic work in Japan and colonial Taiwan.There's a spectrometer machine (I think) and a lab in-situ and I even saw a member of staff working on chemical specimens.

The ground floor collection is mainly natural history, which cultural items from around the world. Many of these exhibits have QR codes for more information.
