Bake Cheese Tart Ikebukuro — Restaurant in Tokyo

The cheese tart is great, amazing, wonderful, even better after putting it in a fridge, but can we acknowledge just how freaking hard it is to find this place if you're aiming for it? I came from shinjuku on the maruichi line and spent 50 minutes getting totally lost underground in the station. I tried asking the annai but they just directed me into a completely wrong place, then after I got out of there I grabbed a paper map and tried to locate where the freak I am. Before that I used google map but that didn't help. Then I went to their official website and after trial and error, I finally found the place at 9:12, but guess what, it freaking closed at 9:00. The shop is located within Ikebukuro station, conveniently close to the Yamanote line, making it easily accessible. We were absolutely obsessed with these cheese tarts, we couldn't walk through the station without buying more to have back at our hotel.

We tried several flavours, though the traditional plain ones were always the winner in my book. The chocolate was also really really good.

I wish we had something close to these in Australia but the Hokkaido cheese tarts I've had here are nowhere near as good.
