Entrance is easy to spot and restaurant is on the first floor. There was no queue and we were seated right away but this was a Monday evening.
They speak some English we didn't have any issues with ordering or paying. They do take visa here as well. We ordered off the Japanese menu that was on the table as everything was pretty self explanatory, so I'm not sure if they have a dedicated English menu.
The highballs and lemon sours are less than ¥300 and the sets were very good for the price. Spent less than $30USD for both sets and 2 drinks, and we got the more expensive sets.
While the meat comes apart fairly easy in your mouth, I did have some difficulty trying to bite through the slices to only have a small bite. They came out quickly as well with free refills on rice.
Great for a quick bite and drink. But not the place to go if you're looking to...
Read moreMy husband and I were looking for a Gyukatsu place close to our hotel in Ueno. We stumbled upon this restaurant for lunch time and are already planning to come back before our Tokyo trip is over. The sets are priced according to the type of meat (imported, Japanese, and Japanese Marbled) and how many grams (50g, 100g, 150g, 200g). I got the 2x kinds mixed beef Gyukatsu set (imported 50g, Japanese 50g) while hubs got the 3x kinds mixed beef Gyukatsu set (imported 50g, Japanese 50g, Japanese Marbled 50g). I highly recommend the 3x kinds set as the marbled meat is worth it. We will probably go for 200g of the Japanese marbled beef on our next visit lol. The meat was so delicious and served with 3 types of sauces, rock salt, and wasabi. You get your choice of rice (white or a grain blend), miso soup, and salad. Service was fast and pleasant. English...
Read moreGreat cut of Japanese black cattle. The one with marble of fat was out of stock right away. You know this place is good when you see a lot of local coming in. Make sure you look at the instructions on how to eat with various sauce and blends. Beef stock soup hit the spot. Salad help cleans the pallet. Dressing wasn’t over powering. You order the cut of beef in grams. The picture is 150g cut of beef 🥩. Divide or add accordingly. 50g is about 4 pieces of Japanese black beef give or take on the size of the cut. Around 5000-6000 yen for three people. I will try to hit this place one more time...
