I came here twice in the few days I was staying in Ueno, it's so good! It is a small restaurant so you might have to wait for a bit, but people get down to business when their food comes so you don't have to wait tooo long. I usually came around 9 PM. Once you get to the front of the line, you order from a machine which has an English option, you take your ticket, and look for a seat.
This was the first time I had tsukemen and it was the best introduction. The pork they serve with the bowls is one of the most amazing things I've ever eaten. I also tried their black broth ramen which was also very tasty.

Ordering is very easy has there’s different language options on the machine. There was a short line when I arrived but we were seated quickly, food is served quickly and everything moves fast. Once you’ve finished your meal please move quickly so other customers can be seated. Turn over is quick so please follow restaurant rules. Best ramen noodles we’ve had in Japan, thick and cooked just right. We ordered blindly from the top row of buttons on the machine (two had little arrows taped to them, so that’s what we ordered. I got a little bowl of thick broth to dip my GINORMOUS BOWL OF NOODLES into (first place I couldn’t finish my noodles!)) and my wife got a more traditional ramen bowl which was also delish.
Pork comes in giant chunks, very nice. Someone said it was chicken but I’m pretty sure it is char siu pork.
