Went to this place to have a coffee and a piece of cake. The place looked cool and was very busy. Besides serving coffee and cake they also serve Japanese risotto, salads and ice cream. The cake and coffee where great and priced okay at 1200 yen for both.
When we got the bill we thought there had to be a mistake. The total was 5020 yen, which was double of what we expected to pay. On the bill there was a subtotal of 2400 yen, then right beneath the total amount said 5020 yen with a total tax of 370 yen below it. Some how there seemed to be 2620 yen added to the bill which was nowhere to be found on the bill. When we asked about it at the cashier she replied twice that it was tax and that the bill was correct. Only after calling the manager and insisting that the 2620 yen was taken from the bill he quickly corrected it and took away the original bill. Very much felt like they tried to rip of tourists by adding invisible amounts to the total...
Read moreTo the owner & manager of Bio Ojiyan: The hostess with short shoulder length hair in this cafe is extremely rude and unwelcoming. We were there yesterday (Thursday May 18) at approximately 6 pm. We walked in and were headed towards the back of the cafe where there were many empty tables. She blocked me, put her hand up to stop me and snapped and said “no no no no” in a very rude & condescending tone. She could have politely explained that the cafe is only seating guests in the other area instead of this unacceptable behavior.
We left after she did that and did not stay to order anything. This is horrible customer service and shameful. You should train your staff on how to politely deal with customers. We were surprised by the way she treated us especially since everywhere else we have visited in Tokyo, the restaurant staff are always kind & polite. Very disappointed, we will not be returning and I will also warn others about your...
Read morenice place in the middle of cat street to grab a lunch or coffee. The interior is very peaceful and the terrace area (smoking area) is great for people watching or just feeling like you’re in an actual terrasse. The lunch set for Japanese food is delicious and with a coffee it costs around ¥1500. I got the fried mackerel set with rice, salad, pickle and fruit. The cakes from the cake set are also a good size can be shared in 2 people. I didn’t try but the build your own Japanese fusion risotto offers vegan and vegetarian options. Obs.: they have Wi-Fi but both Wi-Fi and data doesn’t work very well on the...
