First of all, I'm Mexican. I understand that there is no way I'm going to get perfect Mexican food in Japan. With that said, I feel that for 7000 yen the food could have been a little better. Before you go, make sure you had some food before you came because even after ordering two tacos and an appetizers I was still hungry. The tacos were extremely small. Nowhere in my entire life had I seen tortillas that small. The shredded chicken looked like it came from a cold bucket that someone scooped a spoon full out of. The shrimp and fish was surrounded by bread as If to make the fish and shrimp larger, but it just made it gooey and soft. The beans and sauce were a complete joke. I mean they give you a nice round size cup with sauce inside but literally it's just one spoon full not enough for the 4 tacos we ordered. They focused more on the illusion than amount. The beans , refried beans where on the tacitos as if it was a little cherry spoon full to give you a teaser of Mexico. The only good thing was the Mexican cheese they had on the tacitos and even that was given to us at 1% portion. The drinks were about 800 yen each which honestly was the only reasonable price. It's an import but 990 for a Corona? Stop your killing me. They think just because they put a few Spanish staff up front and show Spanish staff cooking talking to each other will help. No sorry , not all Japanese know how to make sushi, so nice try. I only went because a friend wanted to impress me, I took everything with a grain of salt. You want real Mexican tacos for half the price, during lunch go to hiroo station, there is a taco Truck in front of national abazu, that's tacos, that's Mexico. I wish I went to taco bell than going here. Save your money, go to at least...
Read moreThe food at Bosque is tasty and interesting. And the ambience, with real candles and dark lighting at night and a projector showing tropical beaches makes for a good date scene. The dishes are all unique and fairly high-grade. For example they have a delicious cactus salad, which is highly recommended and the tacos are quite delicious. The drawbacks though are that the portions are very small, and each dish is expensive. So the cost for the food for two, without any drinks (only water) came to 7000 yen. Also the water is tap water without ice and lukewarm. With no lemon or anything. They obviously want people to order drinks. But if you do, expect around 10,000 yen for two. Not crazily expensive, and in some ways the price is worth it to enjoy some unique dishes (the guacamole is very finely blended and tastes a bit like pumpkin spice pie), but the poor choice for water and relatively high prices mean that the overall experience at this restaurant is mediocre. There are other superior Mexican...
Read moreBeing Mexican, I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
I wanted to have a Torta but they didn't have, I wanted to have horchata and guess what? No horchata.
The tortilla soup is just a tomato spicy soup with just a few tiny tortilla pieces and a bit cold. Cochinita was very dry, the Mexican rice on the side was under cooked, and the fresh cheese tasted like the milk you get in the supermarket.
Wife ordered fajitas and the tase was good but the portion was very small. As many other reviews say: you would expect more for the price you're paying.
The service was really bad. Lunch set includes coffee or tea, but only one of us got it and it took them about 30 minutes to bring it. The manager has a really bad attitude, we came in with my 1 year old baby, they had a couple of baby chairs (which we saw when we were leaving) and didn't even bother in offering one despite seeing the trouble of having to eat with a baby trying to grab everything.
Make yourself a favour and don't come here, it's...
