2023/10/9 Obscene customer service. I have been refused seating at a shared table despite there were several available seats just because other customers were seated to same shared table. If a table is by definition "shared" and there are seats available, it should be allowed to seat there. At least the staff could ask the other seated customers if they mind the presence of other people at same table (but if they mind, they shouldn't seat in a shared table in first place). Outside was cold and heavy raining and the staff leave a loyal repeater customer like me (more than 15 visits till now) outside without respect and consideration. I ended up wet and cold. No mention the staff is still wearing masks so you cannot even see their smile, just like in a hospital... these people have zero sense of hospitality and service. No good training and no sensibility. Shame.

First review was: Excellent good restaurant with some room for improvement The shop is very popular and therefore there is often a long waiting list. That creates issue for the customers who are awaiting outside, especially in cold winter season. I think they could at least provide some blankets and hot drinks. I felt like staff is really too busy and cannot properly think to customer's comfort. Pity. Another issue is they keep the entrance door always opened with cold wind coming inside and reducing the comfort of shop. I told them that cold wind came right over me and I felt cold, then they kindly closed the door, to open it again 30 second later to welcome a guest and left it open despite the cold wind coming inside! I got an otitis. Food is really healthy and delicious, atmosphere is amazing, interior are natural and elegant, outside seats are lovely. Hope they will start caring more of customer's confort, is really the only issue of this place.

Fresh, simple ingredients masterfully combined to create complex dishes to be enjoyed in the peaceful garden area or indoors. As a vegetarian (not vegan), I didn’t feel like the eggs or dairy were missing from the dishes at all. They were tasty all on their own! Gluten free items were not labeled, but the staff were knowledgeable about menu items that were safe or not. I went with the seasonal vegetable curry with rice, that is already completely gluten free. I was told the other lunch options may be made gluten free without the sauce (soy sauce containing). Sadly, we had to skip out on dessert for time reasons, but they did have a fully vegan and gluten free dessert menu also! As a bonus, the outdoor seating area was heated, next to an essential oil store that provided a relaxing aroma, and absolutely beautiful with all the plants filling the area. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone celiac and/or vegetarian travelling looking for lunch in Tokyo. It would be best, however, to make a reservation. We were lucky to walk in and get a table right away, but there was a quite a line by the time we were done our meal....

The Brown Rice by Neals’Yard Remedies Restaurant is a great hotspot with top quality food and much love to details. The staff is friendly and unobtrusive, contributing to a comfortable dining experience. The atmosphere is bright and friendly with modern interior design using wood and plants. The restaurant offers a limited number of tables as well as restrooms and operates a seat reservation system so diners are notified when their table is ready. All in all I had a great lunchbreak, which I highly recommend to any foodie out there. I especially liked the vegetarian/vegan concept of the Brown Rice by Neals‘. My choosen menue: tasty green tea, steamed vegetables with two different delicious dips. Rice, tofu and a kind of beetroot salad. Deliciously & I enjoyed it to the fullest.
