I am not one to leave reviews. But this little coffee shop is a hell of a miss for coffee lovers. First and foremost, the location is in front one of the biggest Starbucks libraries in Tokyo which probably made a lot of tourists and visitors miss this magical place, but if you are a coffee lover or enthusiast like me, listen up! This place might not have all the cakes and ice cream tops as some of you probably love, but if a true coffee is what you’re after, or a good reading place, this place is Just for you. The owner Suzuki-San is not only nice and friendly, his world is coffee, and he takes it very seriously. You’ll find more varieties of coffee beans than you can taste and that he roasts most himself by hand, in an old Japanese machine, making every cup of coffee to perfection. Not only that I enjoyed he’s coffee, I had so many questions about the taste and style and he answered each and every one with a smile. For those of you who came to Japan for a culinary trip like me, and love to experience a good cup of coffee, you should know, a lot of Tokyo coffee shops take themselves seriously, but only a few, can achieve...
Read moreWalked to this cafe specifically for 30 minutes during my short stay in Tokyo in the heat of the day. Food was nice, coffee was good, service was minimal. Was mostly neglected by owner who spent 30 minutes talking to Japanese-speaking customers, explaining coffees, bringing samples and totally ignoring table 0.5m next to it. Language barrier was a problem, but I had many other places which were kind and tried to explain dishes and origin using basic phrases, translators, information sheets and making their customer welcome. I've put few questions via g translate and came ask to put my order and ask them, was sent back to the table in response while chit chat was going on with other customers. Yes I know dishes need to be prepared, but guess what happened after all customers left except for me? Nothing. Omotenashi not found. Didn't really feel welcome at all and more of a nuisance. Too bad as I was really looking to learn more...

Each coffee is crafted with love by a skilled craftsman who runs the store on his own. I ordered the special single origin which featured flavor nodes of white peach, black tea and lavender. One of the best cups of coffee I’ve had in my life period.
The chiffon cake was also light and fluffy which is also featured amongst a couple other homemade desserts on the menu.
Interior wise, it’s a bit boho with warm lighting and antique furnishings. Paintings are also featured and sold created by the same barista — a man of many talents!
One thing to note is the ambiance is almost like a library — hardly any music playing and most folks who were visiting came alone for the coffee or spike in whispers to their company.
If you have a moment to spare in devoting your time and attention though to an outstanding quality cup of coffee, don’t pass...
