Knock — Restaurant in Tokyo

We visited this place for dinner.. while the ambience was good you need to be careful of the following things: We were never told there is a cover charge or charge for using the table to sit and eat in the restaurant (not sure where should you eat if not at the table in restaurant).. they gave crackers and tea in the end (we didn’t ask for it) and we assumed it to be complementary. However it WAS NOT! They charged us JPY 500 each person saying it was for using their table and the crackers / tea! This is downright ridiculous. Atleast before serving, it should be called out to the customers. second: we paid through the forex card and they swiped it twice. If we wouldn’t have noticed the message they would not have mentioned about it as well. When we asked them about it and showed the 2 times transaction message, the person’s answer was due to dust or fault in the chip due to the card being old. Extremely disappointing – avoid.

We walked in at 15:30 to an Italian restaurant that claims to be open until 23:00, only to be told they had no pasta. Yes, you read that right — no pasta. At 3:30 PM. In an Italian place.

What exactly are they planning to serve for the next 7.5 hours? Breadsticks and cappuccinos?

Pasta takes 10 minutes. This isn’t a special request — it’s the most basic Italian dish. Either the kitchen wasn’t prepped, or they simply don’t care. Either way, it screams poor management and zero professionalism.

Honestly, if you can’t handle a pasta order mid-afternoon, maybe you shouldn’t be running a restaurant.

The only thing remotely Italian about this place? The empty plates left behind by the people who somehow did get pasta before us.

I reserved a take for 11 people outside with a surprise cake and a birthday message plate. They told me if it rains they have to cancel my reservation but when we arrived they offered us a large table inside, because weather forecast appeared to be rainy soon later.

Also, before the reserved date, I quickly asked whether we can add 1 person to the table, the staff was so quick and nice. When I asked whether they provide any alternatives to pasta because that person requires gluten free food, they actually did which was amazing...

Staff attended us very nicely and quickly. We all had a great time in the restaurant.

I believe I will come here again when I have a large group that I don't wish to disappoint 😄
