Worst Hard Rock I’ve ever been to! I’ve been to many Hard Rocks around Japan and around the worldly and this Roppongi one was by far the worst. First, While I can speak Japanese, my reading ability is much lower. Therefore, I was looking only at the English on the menu. I was interested in a cheeseburger so I was debating between a big cheeseburger and a smash classic burger. The deciding factor was that I dont like onions. The big cheeseburger has only red onion (which can easily be taken off) while the smash classic has white onion cooked in the cheese. Therefore I choose the big cheeseburger. However it arrived with white onion cooked in….. not wanting to create problems I was quietly pulling them off. The waitress came and asked how our food was…. I said this is not what I ordered. She was confused and went back to the kitchen. I started to eat my burger which by this time was mostly cold. Then another woman came and said that the English is wrong and the Japanese is different. I said ordered based on the English so why is it my fault that it’s wrong? She only said sorry. In my opinion, If the English on the menu which Hard Rock printed says Red onion and not white that must be honored. How can Hard Rock operate offering one thing but serving something different without notice!?!?
Second, I really don’t understand how you can charge over 3,000 yen for that small of a burger and that small size of fries?? While the cost of everything anywhere has gone up. 3000 for that burger is a complete overcharge….its not even worth 1500.
I think it’ll be a long time if ever before I go back to...
Read moreI have been to this Hard Rock Cafe many times throughout the years, and I don't know if just the post pandemic lull that has fallen over Roppongi, or if the old saying is true "one can never go back," but after a recent visit there I felt as though I would probably never go back. The food was fine, I had buffalo wins and my partner had a quesadilla, nothing special, but also predictably edible. The problem was I guess the ambiance? Unless my memory is totally off, I recall being able to go to Hard Rock for late night food and sort of enjoying a party vibe - now it feels more like an expensive family restaurant. We sat down only to be told it was last order for food (at like 9:15pm), and then shortly there after that it was last order for drinks. I don't know that I can articulate what I was expecting, but it was not the experience that we had. Overall, if you collect memorabilia or are one of those people that likes to try the one same thing in every city, then sure Hard Rock is for you - but otherwise you can probably skip it (or just stop by the expensive gift shop in front...
Read moreWe were absolutely disappointed with the service at Hard Rock Café Tokyo. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, our server somehow managed to bring orders to everyone around us twice while completely forgetting part of ours! We sat there waiting for half an hour, only for her to finally come over and ask if we wanted dessert… the one we had ordered at the very beginning but she had simply forgotten! There were absolutely no apologies, no attempt to fix the mistake—no upgrades, no bonuses, nothing. This kind of attitude is completely unacceptable, especially for a Hard Rock Café. We have visited other locations in different cities and never had such a disappointing experience. To make things worse, after that, the waitress kept ignoring us completely. We had to chase her around the restaurant just to ask for the check so we could leave. Even then, she failed to handle it properly, and we had to ask another staff member to finally process our payment. This was by far the worst Hard Rock Café visit we've ever had. Total disappointment!
BTW the shop and guys there...
