Carl's Jr. Akihabara Chuo-St. shop — Restaurant in Tokyo

I love seeing a piece of home from a land so far away...

While I was shopping for my usual anime stuff and video games, I stumbled upon this restaurant. I immediately went in, especially after a 2 hour flight from Seoul and a light sushi meal upon arriving in Tokyo.

I went in, and the staff were friendly. Their English skills weren't the best, but since I know some form of Japanese, I'm able to communicate with them. I ordered a burger, and they accepted payments in both yen and certain foreign currencies (in my case, it would be US Dollars). I then waited for the meal while taking in the restaurant's clean condition and decor of American culture.

Once my burger arrived, I ate it, and I enjoyed it. The quality of the food was very good, but since the burger was way larger than I expected (both by Japanese and American standards) I saved the rest of the burger for later.

Overall, this is a great place to remind you of home while being in Tokyo. I recommend this if you're in the mood...

I had some locals recommend Carl's Jr and I was really surprised because in the US their chains aren't great IMHO.

The only thing these locations have in common with the American ones are some of the burger names and the soda brands. I tried their standard burger on a lunch set and it was good. However, I tried the Angus burger on a lunch set another time and it was great. Had a crispy char on the edges, plenty of toppings as well.

The all you can drink bar is a nice value and appreciated when I go there to work for a bit after good (when it's off peak time).

It can get pretty busy and crowded with Marie narrow tables and aisles but if you visit outside of the lunch rush most of that is avoided.

I always stop by when visiting Akihabara. If you're in the area I highly recommend...

Shame on the managers of this place.

As I'm starting to write this review, I've been sitting and waiting for 25minutes waiting for my meal. When I got in, the place was full of people waiting, sitting at their tables and I'm just starting to see them getting their food.

There are 3 teenagers running this place and it's obvious they're heavily understaffed because their manager is trying to milk this place selling you $10 burgers for $30 and adding another worker or two would eat his profit margin.

Got my order 30min in. The burger is not bad but it is severely overpriced.
