Coffee Seibu — Restaurant in Tokyo

To be honest, the food is not particularly incredible. The sandwich was simply a sandwich, not good or bad, and the parfait, although very pretty, was also just a parfait. Thus, the two stars out of the three which I’ve given to this cafe is for the atmosphere of the cafe itself: such a beautiful Showa style interior.

The food takes a while to come out, so you should come here with the intent of staying for a while. Also, rather than the servers being attentive to customers, you have to be the one to grab their attention and flag them down.

Something to keep in mind is that this place gets a long line to enter during popular times. I came here on a Saturday morning before 10:00AM, and I was able to be seated right away. Around 9:40 was when I noticed people started lining up, and I believe I saw the line winding down the stairs into the entrance of the cafe on the street. 2 of us ordered the drink and dessert combo. 1 of us ordered ice-cream and the other macha tea. Everyone was happy since everything tasted very good. The decor was retro and the atmosphere very nice. The maitre was very polite and helpful. The cafe is on the first floor so you go up a flight of stairs or take the elevator. We waited outside the entrance for about 15 minutes.
