My recent stay at this "4-Stars" hotel in Tokyo left me with mixed feelings, especially considering the positive experiences I had during my previous visits. It seems that a change in ownership might be the cause of the decline in service and overall quality. 🚩 Communication was a significant hurdle from the start. Attempts to request assistance with car rental were met with delayed and brief email responses. The requirement to be a staying guest before receiving help felt unnecessary, considering the full payment had already been made. 🚩 The check-in experience was less than ideal. Despite a long day out in the cold, the staff behind the counter, though seemingly abundant, failed to greet guests. I had to initiate the conversation, and their responses were regrettably impolite. 🚩 The disparity between the online representation of the hotel and the reality upon check-in was surprising and disappointing. 🚩 The hotel's policy on parking fees was inconsistent and confusing. I was told it was complimentary if it is for a short duration not exceeding 11am the next morning. However, upon attempting to leave just a few hours later at 5 am, I was unexpectedly asked to pay a fee. 🚩 The DIY approach throughout the hotel, from obtaining water to the lack of room service, was unexpected and not aligned with the typical service standards of a 4-star establishment. 🚩 Cleanliness was another issue, especially in the supposedly non-smoking level where the smell of smoke was persistent, particularly in the lifts. In conclusion, while the hotel still has potential, the recent experience fell short of the standards set during my prior visits. The issues with communication, inconsistent policies, and lapses in service etiquette were disappointing. I hope these concerns are addressed to restore the hotel to its former brilliance.

Location - Nightlife district so walking to the hotel there’s trash everywhere - Sirens nearly every night (stayed 4 nights) even at 11:30PM! Bedroom - Wonky light switch wiring - left (hallway) where clicked up is on and down is off, right (bathroom) is the complete opposite where up is off and down is on - Odorous bathroom - believe it’s coming from the drain on the floor and vents not working - Shampoo/body soap/conditioner packets - A LOT of plastic waste - Lack of bathroom counter space - Rugs in room/hallway looks and feels grimy like they haven’t been deep cleaned or maintained for years - Curtains don’t cover entire window so room doesn’t become completely dark (if that matters to you) Front desk staff - Lazy - came to check in, the front desk lady made us use the kiosk even though there were 3 workers standing around doing nothing. It wasn’t until we couldn’t find our name using the kiosk that the worker checked us in - Rude - I don’t know if it was the language barrier or if he had a poor past with other customers, but a night worker seemed annoyed and treated me like a child when I simply asked for ice - Cleaning staff - everyone was kind and respectable when we interacted with them Amenities - Lack safety measures - elevators have NO SECURITY CAMERAS and doesn’t need key cards so anyone could come up! - Vending machines, microwave, and luggage scale available on first floor - Can do laundry on 2nd floor but there’s only 2 tiny machines which are almost always in use TLDR; good for if you mind staying in a mid par Las Vegas-like hotel

From this 4 stars hotel I received a 3 stars tourist class hotel ; Upon arrival= there was No bellboy to take our 4 luggage pieces, and me and my wife had to take it by ourselves. In our room= the safe was NOT working. I called maintenance, who showed up and with help of another maintenance man= they managed to fix it. I had some laundry to do ; Laundry room is small. There are ONLY 2 laundry machines that work as a dryer. I was told by reception that I can put up to 3 kilo ONLY per machine. It takes 2 hours to complete including drying. It costs 500 yen for 3 kilo. The only problem left= there are ONLY 2 Washing machines for the whole hotel ! ! ! This sounds like a joke ! But it's NOT ! I have back home 2 washing machines. This hotel that accommodates 850 guests has ONLY 2 washing machines ? 850 guests have to fight for turns on laundry just because there are 2 washing machines ONLY ? It's NOT a joke ! It's reality ! I was waiting long for me to get access to a washing machine ! While I was doing my laundry = guests came in and out asking when can they use the laundry machines ? I suggest hotel management urgent to get some additional washing machines ! Larger ! Many more ! 2 washing machines god for a 3 stars tourist hotel....... Or maybe 2 stars tourist hotel....... NOT 850 guests 4 stars hotel. The sooner= the better. Location is ok. It's in Kabukicho But still some walking to many restaurants coffee shops stores. I give this hotel 3 stars. Laundry has to improve. 19 June 2025 P.S. Another issue why this hotel got 3 stars ONLY ; Security There is less security in this hotel than similar ones . I've been to many other hotels. Worldwide. In most hotels= a guest who wants to use the elevator to go up to his room, has to use his room key to activate the elevator and go up to his room. This option allows ONLY Hotel guests to use the elevator ! A non guest= without room key= Can NOT use the elevator ! And The risk of breaking into a guest room is minimal. In this hotel= there is NO need for room key to use the elevator, and ANYONE can Use the elevator and go up ! This gives option for NON guest To use the elevator to go to any floor ! Without being a guest= a person can use the elevator to go to any floor and go to any door he wants ! In this case= security is less, and the risks are higher. 3 stars it's enough for this...

The best way to sum up this hotel is that it’s just “fine.” Booked via a third party site for a week at ~$550 USD total.

Checked in right at 3 PM and the Economy Double room was quite small; the only place to really open my small carry on bag without tripping over it was next to the window, in between it and the bed, although the view of Kabukicho was quite nice. Overall size of the room was maybe 100-125 feet squared.

Working desk was fine - chair didn’t have any cushions on the armrest area so prolonged use of a laptop might get tiring. The small refrigerator kept my drinks somewhat cold. Shower was okay, though the temperature did sometimes briefly fluctuate toward the colder side. I did not see any iron or ironing board in the room.

Front door was not very soundproof and I could relatively clearly hear people coming in and out of adjacent rooms, but I was thankfully in a corner of the building where it was quiet.

I inquired at the front desk about self laundry service but was told that it was closed. There is a 24-hour laundromat about a block to the East of the building, straight out from the back entrance to the hotel, that takes credit card/Apple Pay via QR code on each machine.

Location was okay - it was about a 3-4 minute walk from Higashi-Shinjuku station to the northeast but other stations, like Shinjuku, are a good 10+ minute walk away through Kabukicho.

Wi-Fi service was borderline unusable. Download speed was sub-1 Mbps and I don’t think the upload even registered. Worked at times but would freeze every so often, so I would not depend on this for video calls or anything more intensive than working on a Google doc. The connection was so slow at times that WiFi calling did not connect back to my carrier back home and I had to use roaming.

All in all, a very middle of the road option that might be better for those who are budget conscious and aren’t going to be spending much time doing remote work/spending a good part of the day in the room beyond just sleeping. I started to feel a bit claustrophobic in my small hotel room after about 5-6 days. I personally would not return but this hotel and its amenities may...

This hotel fell far short of expectations, with a vast disparity between the advertised images and the grim reality. The room was notably cramped, the walls were tainted with dirt and mold, and the neglected carpets hinted at years of disregard. The solitary chair in the room was an unsightly spectacle, marred by stains and grime, rendering it unfit for use.

You only get room cleaning TWICE over my 11- day stay which I requested the first time and was never cleaned. Second time they only took my trash out. The bathroom in this hotel consistently reeked with a smell. Despite its compact size, the persistent unpleasant odor in the bathroom was a constant source of dissatisfaction.

This hotel left much to be desired in terms of service quality, with notable shortcomings in both their hospitality and amenities. The Wi-Fi, a fundamental expectation in modern accommodations, proved to be subpar, offering a frustratingly unreliable connection that hindered any attempts at productivity or leisure.

Adding to the dissatisfaction, there was a significant discrepancy regarding the checkout policy. Our confirmation email clearly stated a checkout time of 12 pm, only to be confronted with a conflicting assertion by the hotel staff, insisting on an 11 am checkout. This inconsistency not only caused confusion but also disrupted our plans, leaving us with the inconvenience of an earlier departure than anticipated.

The lack of proper communication or acknowledgment of the error in their confirmation email reflects poorly on the hotel's management and customer service. These combined issues underscore the inadequacies of this establishment, making it an undesirable choice for future stays..

Surrounded by numerous love hotels, the surroundings give off a sketchy and potentially uncomfortable vibe, I wouldn't recommend this place families or those seeking a quiet and serene environment.

In response to the circumstances, we opted for an early checkout, leaving our bags with the front desk. This disappointing experience ensures that we won't be returning to this establishment...
