The original shop is a tad hard to find. If you don't like small adventures, just go to the other branch in Ogawamachi. We did not know about the second branch and only came across it by accident while walking around in the neighborhood after our meal, so hey you learn something new everyday!
Now to my review.
After solving the riddle and finding the restaurant we were seated directly. There were some people inside but fortunately there was no queue. We ordered the meat (which was recommended on the menu) and the vegetable curry. We tried to order the potato on the side but the waitress kindly told us that it wasn't necessary because it comes as part of the set meal.
On to the flavor. By no means do I consider myself a curry connoisseur(the only curry that I've frequently had and quite enjoyed actually was CoCo Ichibaniya) but believe me when I tell you THIS WAS ON A WHOLE DIFFERENT LEVEL/DIMENSION. Sure CoCo is tasty but this shop's curry is otherwordly. We came based on Mike Chen's review and man was it accurate.
On a side note a 1500 yen dish for a relatively small serving is by no means cheap, but the potato sweetens the deal and helps you get full.

Please be warned that no matter when you come, there will always be long lines waiting to enter into the restaurant. The entrance is hidden in a back alley and may be difficult to find. However if you are lucky enough to enter, you will be able to enjoy a Bondy curry experience.
We have arrived around 2:30pm on a Sunday afternoon, intentionally arriving at a time after the lunch rush hour peak. We still water for almost an hour until entering into a restaurant.
However, the order is made while waiting in line so that when you are seated, the food comes out almost instantly.
Next time I would like to have a Bondy curry, I would visit its sister stores. Regardless of the wait, Bondy’s curry is...

If you're a fan of Japanese curry, you must come here. It's not the easiest place to get to for people not familiar with the area, but it's not hard either if you give it a shot.
Do be prepared for a line up, we waited at least 30 minutes, but I promise you that it's worth the wait.
We ordered the curry beef and curry oysters, neither of which are traditional in curry. We also added cheese as a topping. If you've never had cheese with curry, you're missing out. Beef too, it's so good with curry. Both orders came with a healthy portion of rice.
The oysters were definitely a new thing for us, but it matched perfectly with the curry. It's a seasonal dish though, so only come in winter if you want it.
Overall, the meal was fantastic and I highly...
