About me: 25F solo traveler in Japan for a 14 day vacation |- Staff: Classic Japanese service, everyone was super nice, polite, and helpful. Most knew enough English to help with general hotel queries and they will help you with the self-check in machine |- Free amenities: In the lobby before you get into the elevator there is free toothbrush, shower sponge, PJs, tea, coffee, etc that you can pick up for your room. |- Space: The room is small but not tiny. If you have stayed in APA hotels the room is larger than their typical rooms. There was enough space for me to lay down my checked size luggage on the floor and organize with decent desk and bed space as well. I think it would be cramped with two people though. |- Cleanliness: The room was very clean and comfortable. Trash and towel is changed every day and linens/vacuuming is performed every 3 days unless you request additional cleaning. They also replace your PJs each day and tidy up the bathroom. |- Wifi: Free in-room wifi is available with decent speeds. I could stream Youtube and download videos on single device without buffering|- Plugs!: Omg huge bonus is there are so many electrical outlets I was in heaven. Bed has plug and USB outlet on either side of the head board, two plugs on either side of desk, one more on top of the desk, outlet by bathroom door, and another in bathroom. Truly you will never run out of space to charge your devices. They also provide a complimentary multi-head USB charger for android and apple devices. |- Lighting: You can control the lights all from the bed which is great for my lazy butt. However one odd thing is there's a soft light built into the headboard that you can dim but not completely turn off (or if you can I couldn't figure it out which is entirely possible) I like sleeping with a little night light so it didn't bother me, but if you like complete darkness maybe bring a blindfold. |- Sound: The AC was pretty quiet (quieter than my home AC ToT) and other than some ambulances going by I was never bothered at all so either the soundproofing is pretty good or I just had excellent hotel neighbors. |- In-room amenities: There are two mugs and an electric kettle for you to make tea or instant meals with. The minifridge comes empty (my preference) with decent space. I was able to keep 5 drinks + 2 take out food items in there comfortably. |- Communal amenities: Microwave, ice machine, and vending machine is available and a coin laundry room can be unlocked upon request. The cost is between 300-600 yen depending on your wash cycle type. The machine is wash + drier in one and you do not need your own detergent/softener. |- Bathroom: Your standard hand soap, body soap, shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo has a nice citrus scent. The bath tub is short but deep so you can take nice baths. There hot water is HOT so be careful when making adjustments. A hairdryer is provided |- Location: Pretty excellent. Close to Jimbocho station (5min) with the Hanzomon line that takes you to Skytree or Shibuya. The Suidobashi station (10min) has the Chūō-Sōbu Line going to Akihabara and Shinjuku. So you're conveniently positioned to get to many tourist areas. There is a 7/11 across the street for all your conbini needs|- breakfast: Can't comment, they have a western style buffet breakfast available for a surcharge but I always bought bread the night before and ate in my room |**TLDR: Affordable, clean, friendly, with good amenities and location. I overall highly recommend this place if you're a solo traveler and I definitely plan on staying again when I finally pry enough PTO from my employer's hands to go visit...

Read moreThis hotel served as my home during my 4 night stay in Tokyo. We were a big group actually , and since they have no interconnecting rooms, they made sure all our rooms to be in the same floor literally beside each other.||Location : several minutes walk to Tokyo Dome. 2 blocks from the Jimbocho subway station, looks near but actually far from the Akihabara electronics district. The good advantage , just a few minutes walk from from Lawson, 7-11 and Family Mart convenience stores. Many restaurants abound . going from either side , from cheap eats to high end stuff. The 7-11 store is just literally a minute walk from the hotel across the street. ||Room: typically the Japanese hotel average room size, which is 16 square meters. Quite hard opening your luggage, but just made small adjustments to say the least. They have air conditioning , which end up as a heater during our stay since it was winter time. Small TV but with no English channels ( even subtitles). ||Bathroom: it was also small in size, shower is in a bath tub , and toilet had a bidet format . By the way , tap water is drinkable in Japan, so it is quite easy getting hot and cold water , straight from the faucet.||Breakfast : it was an option to have it, since of the influx of several restaurants and 24/7 stores in the hotel vicinity. But their buffet was somehow tasty , though limited in choices. Of course it is a 3 star hotel , so don't expect too much. I liked the fluffy scrambled eggs, the soft bacon , pastries, cabbage / lettuce and cereals. What I liked is that you have the option to have it in take away boxes and cups. Dining area was quite small so I think that is their initiative. And they change one basic menu item per day. ||Amenities: provision of choice movie items for purchase, water kettle , hair dryer, free sized pajamas , open mini fridge , air/fabric spray freshener , slippers and even delivery menu guide ( Domino's pizza )||Freebies: they have basic room items for pick up at your disposal at the lobby , these include dental kits, tea bags, bath fizz , comb among others||Staff : only 2 type I encountered , the Front desk personnel giving sincere smile and greetings for everyone who come and go ,, and housekeeping who left new items by the door knob when you put in a " privacy please" sign. ||Reminder : there is a laundry room , ice dispenser and vending machine in the ground floor. ||To sum it up , for the price I paid , it was definitely...
