About 25 seats in an almost art nouveau atmosphere. Plain walls with modern art in a few paintings. Quiet, even after they turned on the TV. An indian movie, but not the usual frantic kind of Bollywood thing. Kind of a complicated menu, and a bit more expensive, but sort of to be expected in a South Indian place. Good value, cinsidering the option for more naan. WiFi seemed okay, but the password wasn't posted. Maybe they decide when it's okay by the customer? Bright lighting and plastic menu made it hared to get a good picture of it. There seem to be a lot of Indian places in the neighborhood.

No curry of the day, so I went with sag chicken, which was excellent. The tandoori chicken and salad were both above average, too. The naan was excellent, slightly on the sweet side and a bit heavy, but skillfully cooked. Overall a high four stars, and might have the consistency for five.

There's a new feature in Google Maps about recommended items on the menu, and I would have picked naan, but it wasn't an option. But that reminds me the directions were a bit...

Delicious and Authentic Kerala Food Near Tokyo Skytree!

Curry Leaves in Oshiage is a hidden gem for anyone craving real Kerala-style South Indian food in Tokyo. Located conveniently near Tokyo Skytree, this cozy spot offers a taste of home for Malayalis and an unforgettable culinary experience for anyone new to Kerala cuisine.

We tried the Kerala porotta with beef curry — absolutely superb! The porottas were perfectly flaky and soft, and the beef curry was rich, flavorful, and authentically spiced. We also had appam with mutton curry and the mutton biryani — all of which were spot on. Every dish reminded us of home-cooked meals from Kerala.

The prices are reasonable, the portions generous, and the service is warm and welcoming. Chef Lenin, the Malayali chef behind these delicious dishes, is incredibly friendly and clearly passionate about what he does. You can truly taste the love and tradition in every bite.

Highly recommend Curry Leaves for anyone looking for authentic South Indian/Kerala...

I recently dined at Curry Leaves and was thoroughly impressed! The vegetarian meal was an absolute delight, with a variety of dishes that showcased the richness of Indian cuisine.

The spread included:

Fluffy rice Flavorful Sambar Crisp cabbage thoran Refreshing avial Creamy moru curry Hearty Dal Spicy Rasam Sweet Payasam Crispy Papad Tangy pickle

Each dish was expertly prepared, with bold flavors and textures that complemented each other perfectly. The service was attentive, and the ambiance was warm and inviting.

If you're a vegetarian looking for an authentic Kerala meal, Curry Leaves is a must-visit! (I am a non vegetarian. But I tried only a veg meal)

I returned to Curry Leaves Restaurant and was blown away by the Chicken Biriyani! The dish was expertly crafted with tender chicken, fragrant spices, and fluffy basmati rice. Each bite was a perfect...

If you're in a mood for affordable and delicious home cooked food with no unnecessary fuss, you should pick this place without any second thoughts. I've been to this restaurant multiple times for dinner and have never had any dish which would taste average. Every dish is well prepared and the spices are just the right amount. If you want any specific dish less or more spicy the chef would happily make adjustments. Would definitely recommend this place for vegetarians as well as non vegetarian customers. One of the few restaurants in Tokyo area which serve really nice mutton dishes.
