Donburiya Koudon — Restaurant in Tokyo

I went to Happy Donburi countless times while I was living in Tokyo, it became our local favorite. I normally had the pork bowl which is a delicious rice bowl packed with spices and flavor with a generous serving of pork and a raw egg on top. They flame the pork with a hand held blow torch before they serve it to you. Delicious, but salty, so drink a lot of water! I also had the ramen and curry dishes they serve and both are equally delicious. The staff was always very friendly. It's small inside with only 9 seats or so but they do have a takeout window. The broth, the meat, the toppings, even the miso soup were bursting with flavor!!!! There was not a spot of "bland" at all! I will absolutely be coming back, especially for the price!! The house specialty rice bowl is tender pork with garlic chips and lots of tasty seasonings! The chicken skin bowl is exactly what it sounds like--amazingly tasty chicken skin! There is an option to get the house specialty pork bowl in a low-carb/ more meat option (cabbage instead of rice). The rice bowls here are cha-zuke style (meaning there's a pitcher of hot broth you pour in your rice to make it somewhat soupy, eat it with a spoon until there's just a bit left,...

１週間以上のご無沙汰でした♪品川！😀

今日、久しぶりの品川駅港南口でのランチは「丼ぶり屋幸丼」です♪ 爺…実は隣り街の大井町でも、この看板を気にしていました。 笑われるかも知れませんが…爺、今日が初入店です♪

正直、ちっちゃ〜いお店…💧 けど、店内お客さんがぎっしり！🤣

値段は、周りの吉野家やすき家に比べてどうなんだ？ 味は？ けっこう興味深々で入店してみました。 注文したメニューは、今、巷で流行っている「まかない丼」♪😄

食券を買って、お店の中へ… それこそ、ヨイショ💧…ヨイショ💧…っう感じでいちばん奥のカウンターへつきました。🤣

調理場もちっちゃい！（ごめんなさい）っうかコンパクト！😀 3〜4人のスタッフさんがひしめき合いながら仕事しています♪😄

で、味は？っうと、食べた瞬間、爺には少し濃いかな？…と最初のひとくちで感じました。 しかし…ここのどんぶりには、どうやらひとつの作法があるようです。

半分くらいどんぶりご飯を頂いたら、備え付けのポットの中のだし汁をどんぶりにかけて食す…（店内マニュアルから） 爺、試してみました… こ、これってさ！爺は最初っから、これがいいなぁ♪🤣

若いひと達、ブルーカラーのひと達も多い店内。 味が濃いめは、ここにも理由（わけ）があるんだなぁ…と思いました。

食券を買って、店内に入って、どんぶりを頂いて、爺で約15分〜20分。 その間、店内でスタッフさんのオーダー確認の声が「バラ」「ばら❤️」「バラ！」と♪ この店の人気メニューは、お店の外の立て看板にもポップとしてでていた「バラ肉のどんぶり」かも知れません♪😄

明日も品川… 絶対「バラ肉のどんぶり」を食べてみたいと思いました！😀
