The Shinagawa Prince N (for north) Hotel is one of three Prince hotels located on the property. The others being the Prince and the other the annex. The N appears to be aimed at business travellers with a business lounge located on the 17th floor. This floor also serves as the breakfast lounge in the morning. Breakfast offering was modest being soup, scrambled eggs, alternate days for bacon and sausage and alternate days for three types of salad. Toaster available to toast the small slices of bread, croissants, soft drinks and two coffee machines were all in the lounge. The rooms are modest in size as are the bathroom with the toilet contained within. As with most Japanese hotels, they are modest in size. Our room contained a double bed (a bit squeezy), a bucket chair and an office chair. TV was a flat panel located above a work space. A small bar fridge was located under the work space. Plenty of power points to charge devices. A universal charge cable was located in the room. Bathroom had all necessities including shower cap, body scrubbing towel, cotton buds, tooth paste, tooth brush, razors etc. Overall, the hotel suited our needs being directly across the road from Shinagawa station, a major rail hub in Tokyo. Eateries were all round including a food court behind the N tower within the Prince complex. We will stay there on our next Tokyo trip for sure. Oh, don't forget to have Harry the robotic butler bring towels or soft drink to your room. Quite fun to watch this little robot autonomously move around the hotel including in the lift to deliver items...

This is a massive complex with really three hotels; the Main hotel, the Annex and the North Tower. All three have their own check-in but their share some facilities (e.g. the Fusion Dining Room where we had breakfast one day). This is a large room with all sorts of culinary delights. Worth checking your "inclusive breakfast". It could be a reasonable continental type on Floor 17 of the North Tower, or the Fusion Room cornucopia of breakfast delights. Well worth having one morning at least for the experience! We stayed in the North Tower twice, once at the end of September and once mid October. This hotel is right across the road from the Shinagawa station from where you can catch both the Shinkansen (Bullet train) and the Narita Express (JR line) or SkyTrain ( extra to your JR Pass).||Like all the hotels during this trip (Sept/Oct 2019) the bathroom was small, modular but came equipped with a range of complimentary toiletries, razors, tooth brush etc. The shower was powerful and there were plenty of towels. Everything was very clean. Efficient check-in and courteous staff, you can also get things delivered to your room by a robot!||There is a food hall in the nearby shopping complex where you can get a good evening meal. The Hollywood slot machine room/place on the main road is worth a visit to see rows upon rows of people playing one-armed bandits/slot machines, if you have a spare...

As it was too early to check in, we left our bags at the hotel's "free" bag storage for a couple of hours. First, this is a very big hotel so there was a long line at check-in after 3pm but staff were there to assist in the self check-in counters. We stayed in the main tower for 7 nights, for 3 guests. The 3rd guest has a "sofa bed" which is surprisingly quite comfy c/w mattress, bedsheet, blanket, pillow. Shinagawa station is just across the main road, from where you can reach any destination in Tokyo, and is especially convenient if you are arriving or departing on the Shinkansen, which we took from Shin-Osaka to here. The room is very clean, albeit a bit cramp for 3 guests. On a clear day, you can see Mt. Fuji from my room. The concierge was really helpful and friendly.

We like the central location to lots of shops, eateries, and the Shinagawa railway system, which takes you to other railway systems. Free Wi-Fi, laundry room, Kuroneko Luggage shipping service, food court, and shops make this a very family - and business-friendly hotel. Staff is courteous and helpful with many knowing some basic English to assist you. Design and function, like many things in Japan, are very eco-friendly but without compromising comfort and service. Fridge, safe, iron, hangers, and humidifier round out the room experience. Don't expect American standards. Things are very thoughtfully and efficiently designed. my family and I like staying here a lot and we will be back every trip we are in Tokyo.
