Took an hour and a half train ride specifically to go to this cafe. It was well worth the trip. Oku-tama is already a beautiful place worth visiting. The cafe is in the owner’s house so I rang the doorbell like a guest. He quickly brought me inside to the warmth. He was very accommodating despite my inability to speak Japanese. I read a book and enjoyed a wonderful coffee with a fruit cake. His house is nestled in a paradise and he has chosen to share it with the rest of us.
