The food was good, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere inside; however, this is the first family restaurant I have been to in any place (in any country) where they do not allow you to take home your leftovers! It's weird, since we paid for the food. Be warned. The food itself was fine. We ordered the pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream. There were about 3-4 small sweetened strawberries on each of 5 pancakes and a giant heap of whipped cream in the center of the plate. Our two year old was thrilled, and we thought the pancakes were great. We also got the salmon and avocado eggs benedict. The eggs were cooked perfectly (nice and runny); however, there was probably a tablespoon or less of guacamole under the eggs and a very tiny serving of salmon, so I couldn't taste either in most bites. I also thought the hollandaise sauce lacked flavor. Fine but nothing special. Finally, we ordered a side of bacon. Japanese bacon is more like thick-cut strips of fatty ham, which I don't really care for. All in all, it was a family friendly restaurant with options to please everyone, but our meal ended on a bad note when they would not package up our...
Read moreFinding a breakfast spot open at 9:00 AM on a Sunday can be a challenge, so stumbling upon this place was already a win. By the time I arrived 15 minutes later, it was nearly full—a great sign—and the crowd was mostly locals, including plenty of families, which added a welcoming vibe.
I went for the vegetarian eggs Benedict (¥1300), and they were spot on—perfectly balanced flavors that hit all the right notes. The coffee had a smooth, mild profile, though the lukewarm first cup meant I had to ask for a fresh one (service gets four stars for that hiccup).
The space itself is bright and airy, with soaring ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows that frame beautiful bay views. It’s the kind of setting that elevates even the simplest meal.
We also tried the pancakes and toast. Both were solid choices, though I’d happily skip the mountain of whipped cream next time—it looks great but doesn’t add much. The salted butter on the toast, paired with powdered sugar, was a clever touch that worked surprisingly well.
All in all, it was a satisfying breakfast in a relaxed,...
Read moreIts a cute little brunch place with a great view by the ocean side....I decided to sit inside though, cause I don't like cold air or bugs possibly ruining my meal. It was a bit hard to get the servers attention at times. I got the fruits french toast, It costs Y1100, but was literally one thick piece of toast, and some fruit...I don't know how they prepare the strawberries and blueberries, it was a bit weird, but the bananas were fine. You also still have to bring your bill up to the counter to pay afterwards. Its a bit of a mix impression, it comes off as an american diner, but still follows the Japanese way of doing things....I'm all for the Japanese way as it is convenient and all, but if you weren't aware, you're kinda just waiting for someone to check up on you so you can ask them what to do next. Still a cute shop, there are some bugs even indoors, I guess that's to be expected. The toast was good, but not worth it. And that's the first time on this trip I've said something wasn't...
