Ginza Miyachiku Takeshiba — Restaurant in Tokyo

A zombie apocalypse restaurant. The place could have been a jem. The terrace has an amazing view, but it's completely devoid of any vibe. No music, no people, just eerie buzzing of the stove fans. The chef barely spared a word, and the manager somehow managed to make us feel pretty unwelcome though we were the only customers there, getting visibly annoyed by our questions and splitting the bill in the end. And a cherry on top: 10% "service" charge not mentioned anywhere. Bottom line: the worst teppanyaki experience after more than 20 years...

The food is overpriced for what it is. Don't get me wrong - it's good, but overpriced. Our chief was a bit... clumsy for lack of a better word.

Pannacottas for deserts were absolutely fantastic. But the steaks were just OK. The fried tofu steak (vegetarian option for one of our friends) was plain, and Giant Abalone was simply chewy - I felt sorry for it to brought all they way from Australia to Tokyo and be wasted this way. Except for Pannacottas, no dish has impressed.
