Grilled meat OGAWA Omori store — Restaurant in Tokyo

I was craving yakiniku for lunch and randomly decided to check out this restaurant. It turned out to be a great choice! I noticed many locals enjoying their meals, which is always a good sign. We were greeted by friendly staff, and the cold water on the table was a nice touch, especially with the hot weather.

We ordered three special sets, each coming with rice, miso soup, salad, and a set dish. The beef portions looked a bit small at first glance, but since the meat was a bit fatty, the portion turned out to be just right. The beef from different parts was absolutely delicious—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The tongue was my favorite; it was thick, juicy, and just the right balance of savory.

Considering the quality of the beef, I think a similar meal in Australia would easily cost double the price. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I will definitely come back the next time...

1. Staff is not as friendly or as helpful as previous staff. I think they have had a lot of turn over and it really shows
2. You push the button on the table and no one shoes up
3. Things like sanchu - which is meant to eat with your meat - show up very late into the meal when things have already been eaten.
4. When asking for drinks - even water for elderly people with us.. they just didn't bring it
5. They don't seem to change the grill... and just let it get dirty. Which when you may order 10~15,000 yen of meat is just unacceptable The meat is still good... but just cannot recommend any more due to the poor service.

Great place. Friendly staff. Hard to beat the quality of the meat. Be warned though this is not a cheap yakiniku place. It's well priced for what it is .(added one star - this is my favorite place in Omori and the staff has always been...
