Shinsan — Restaurant in Tokyo

This restaurant was amazing. Authentic Japanese food and amazing service in Omori Tokyo. Truly was the best food we had in our 6 day Tokyo stay. It’s a family run, small restaurant and it was so interesting to watch the owner/chef make the food, as well as serve it. I have very limited Japanese language, but was able to make myself understood and the menu has the English translation, as well as a photo of the dish, so it was easy to order. There is a small cover charge, but you get a lovely appetiser thrown in. Also the owner gives you a small ice cream lollipop and some home baked dessert (both free) to take away...

Great cozy spot, amazing food and incredible service. They had an English menu and we could easily communicate with google translate but I’m sure we would have been fine without it!! There is a table charge but we each got a piece of fried chicken and rolled omelet which was delicious, we think it makes it worth it. We then had a delicious Udon that was huge!! To top it off we got a chocolate vanilla ice cream after we asked for the bill and then we got a piece of home made warm apple pie to walk home with!! We will...

This is a so lovely pub. The vibe is just perfect. Plum wine + food = awesome! A young gentleman helped me communicate with the chef/master and we used apps on our phone to do translation in written words. He said he is interested in travelling to China but is hesitant. I replied in text box in ChatGPT that at least safety is not a thing to worry about. I am so thankful to the lovely serve here. It definitely is a lovely pattern of memory of our one week...
