Got late trying to find a place to grab a bite that would serve Halal meat , we landed at Yakiniku Panga. The restaurant definitely has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with traditional Japanese décor and comfortable seating. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive, always happy to provide recommendations and answer any questions. We got ourselves a private seating section on the top floor and were ready to order right away.
One of the highlights of the dining experience is the wagyu beef itself. The restaurant sources its meat from carefully selected farms, ensuring the highest quality and melt-in-your-mouth flavor. Each bite is a burst of rich, savory goodness, perfectly complemented by the smoky aroma of the charcoal grill. The menu offers a wide variety of wagyu beef cuts, including ribeye, tenderloin, and skirt steak, allowing guests to customize their dining experience. Additionally, the restaurant provides a selection of side dishes and sauces that perfectly complement the grilled meat (mind though the fact that the sides are charged).
When the meats are brought out, the server/staff do teach for a bit on how to cook in an opitmal way and from there onwards you are on your own to work with the rest of the meat pieces left in the serving. Quite an experience, must say!!!
While the wagyu beef is the star of the show, Halal Wagyu Yakiniku PANGA also offers a selection of other delicious dishes. From fresh salads and flavorful kimchi to grilled vegetables and seafood, there is something to satisfy every palate.

Read moreAn experience of trying the flagship of steaks, the Japanese Wagyu. I will start with the bad first because I consider it a major topic to list and clear (if they care, of course).
The reservation process was the worst. We attempted to dine here yesterday, but it was fully booked (as expected for any famous Japanese restaurant), so we reserved for the next day.
When we arrived the next day, we were an hour early and asked the reception if it was possible to dine in earlier or wait. She agreed, but with a strict one-hour limit. We were fine with that since we didn't plan to take more than an hour to eat. However, once we were seated, she started rushing orders after orders, watching us closely, and impatiently singing by looking us to hurry. We understand the time constraint, but we didn't appreciate feeling constantly pressured and watched while dining. This isn't how we expected to be treated in a Japanese restaurant, and it tarnished the experience.
I'm certain that the restaurant owner would have respected our timing and provided a more pleasant experience, but the actions of this individual staff member soured the evening.
The location is a bit far from the center.
Now, onto the good aspects:
The quality of the steak cuts was exceptional Despite my reservations, I still recommend this restaurant to Muslims and non Muslims, of course, who want to try Wagyu but have limited halal options in other restaurants.
Final thoughts:
The reservation process definitely needs improvement to enhance the overall customer experience.
The dining area could benefit from some rejuvenation, or perhaps an upgrade in the quality of dishes, chopsticks, and spoons is in order to match the quality...
