A rather plain and austere exterior set in small but very green garden surprises with one of the most welcoming churches I’ve ever entered as a practicing Catholic.

As soon as you enter the church, a most warm and welcoming feeling envelops one starting with the welcome sign by the door to the lobby as you enter.

It helps that the parish priest is all smiles and welcome demeanor too.

The chapel itself is simply but beautifully appointed giving off again a warm and welcoming vibe. We also dropped in at the most opportune time because English masses are celebrated here every 3rd Sunday of the...

church was small but peaceful and beautiful still. i found this wanting to visit a Catholic church here in japan and i went to a japanese mass since i won’t be able to attend the sunday one (i went on a friday.) there were 7 other people, it was 30 minutes long as a weekend mass is. even though i understood none of it, i enjoyed it. and the people were very kind. the Mother Mary statue outside was like the church: small but beautiful. would recommend highly :) there are also pamphlets one in english about the history of the church, and also a postcard...

We went to the Japanese Mass at 10 am on Sunday. With the help of Google translate, we could understand part of the homily which was good. Some parishers were very kind and gave us a pamphlet on the history of the church. There's a stone plate at the back of the church to commemorate the beheading of 28 Japanese martyrs who "did not succumb to the Shogunate's persecution and maintained a pure heart for God".Praise...
